At dinner Hire, Barbara was with her three children, “Theard, if you tall to chase the girl, don’t bother coming back. I won’t acknowledge a son who’s such a failure.”
Fabward rubbed his temple. He had just been making excuses to Barbara, but he didn’t expect her to take it seriously.

Janice was working late, absorbed in selecting products and materials whille coordinating with Yvonne’s team to get started. At 9:30 pm, she picked up a call without checking the caller ID. “Hello?”

Quickly setting her work aside, she answered, “Yes. I’m just finishing up a tew things. Have you been drinking?“”
There was a brief silence before Edward replied, “My mother has a good tolerance for alcohol My siblings and are taking turns keeping her company.”
So, his drinking ability had to run in the camily?
Janice asked in concern, “Are you feeling okay? You should drink water to dilute the alcohol”
“I’m fine” After a short pause, he continued, “janice.”

He paused for a long moment before saying, “I need to talk to you when I get back.”

Her gentle tone, though unintentional, was filled with an unspoken warmth. She sounded like a wife awaiting her husband’s return.
Edward smiled Gaintly and replied, “When do you want me back?”
Janice knew he was teasing her. She glanced at the crochet pieces she had been working on. For some reason, his question only fueled her determination to win first place in the international competition.
She decided to play along. “I hope you come back today.
