Heich noticed the voting period was about to end and said, “Are you daydreaming, Ms. Everly? Hurry up and cast your vote so we can finish and have a meal together. Perhaps a little chat.” 

She emphasized the word “chat“, and her tone dripped with insinuation. 

Edward watched the situation unfold and showed no reaction. Meanwhile, Harrison glanced at his phone and leaned over to Edward to whisper, “Someone seems to have helped Simon stop his financial lawsuit with Ms. Smith. They’re now re–investigating the origin of the funds.” 

All endence was submitted, and Sanon might’ve discovered Shirley’s identity. But who could be targeting Janice?

Janice carefully packed up her work. As she passed Heidi, she chuckled softly. “I recall you introducing yoursell as… Shirley Olson?” 

The mention of Shirley Olson sent a wave of panic through Heldi, but she forced a calm smile and responded, “Learn to read the room and adapt to circumstances, Ms. Smith. Let’s take our time.” 

Janice scanned her before leaving with her crochet design. As she exited the conference room, she announced, “Crochet department supervisors, meeting in abit” 

The four supervisors exchanged wary glances. They were doomed Janice was likely planning to settle scores now. 

But Sophie seemed unfazed. “Luna, you’re dumb for not knowing who Ms. Ryan is!” 

She’d learned that Heidi was the legendary Shirley Olson and had been working hard to curry favor with her recently.
