Chapter 85
When word spread that the new double–sided crochet team had been given an entire floor to themselves, discontent rippled through the other crochet tearns. By mid–morning, their privite group chats were flooded with complaints.
Harrison had his assistant planted as an informant in these chats. As soon as he heard the news, he debated whether or not to step in. But ultimately, he decided against it.
With so many seamstresses in the company, Janice would have to win their respect on her own. Even I Edward Intervened, he likely wouldn’t be able to fix that for her.
Harrison had assumed Janice would wait a few days before addressing the issue, but to his surprise, by noon, word reached him that she was already locked in a heated confrontation with the other team supervisors in her office.
In the Product Division office, Sophie was the first to voice her frustration
“Why does the double–sided crochet team get an entire floor to themselves? My tesonus been here for two years, and we’re still crammed onto the same floor as the Capital
Luna shot bet asideways glance. “Do you feel like you’re being treated untally?”
Sophie glazed back. “Don’t get side with me, Luna. Your team’s been just as badly off, but you don’t even have the guts to speak up about it!”
Janice finally looked up and asked, “Treated unfairly, you say?”
She was seated at her desk with a cup of tea. She had just finished a lesson with the seamstresses and was feeling a bit drained. That was why she had simply listened to Sophie complain for a while.
Sophie turned to face Janice, her eyes practically shouting accusations of favoritism.
Unexpectedly, Janice nodded gently before the four supervisor. “You’re right I’m biased toward my seamstrise
“What?” Sophir was momentarily at a loss, stunned that Janice would so brazenly admin in.
Then, Janice continued, “They’ve been loyal to me, so they deserve to be rewarded for that loyalty, You fight for your team, Sophie, and I fight for mine.”
juice rose from her chair, walking toward the group of four supervisors. Her presence filled the room, her energy sharp and commanding–stronger than it had ever been before.
“But none of you have been loyal to me. So, why should I make decisions with your best interests in mind? When Held care to you, rallying for votes behind my back, did you think about the consequences? You didn’s.
“They say every new loader brings a storm with them. Yet thaven’t burned a single bridge here. Do you know why? Because I respected the years you’ve given to Prosper Stitch Group”
Janice’s teacup hit the desk with a decisive clink. The four supervisors stiffened, their nerves clearly rattled
“From today on, Luma will be promoted to Crochet Director.”
In other words, Liina would now oversee the three other supervisors!
Prosper Stitch Group never had a position like Crochet Director before, but Refined Threads Co. did, and that role belonged to Yvonne.
Why?
Because Luna was the only one who hadn’t betrayed Janice and blindly voted for Heidi’s sake!
Janice raised her hand and plucked Sophie’s employee badge from where it hung, twirling it between her fingers.
“Don’t be upset, Sophie. This is wholm–I never let a slight go unanswered. You crossed me, and now It’s time to face the consequences. You can tell Heidi that if she sends anyone to spy on, there’s only one outcome for them..”
Junior’s eyes hardcord “They get find
After a tense moment, Janice continued, “You have half a day to pack your things and take your lackeys with you. Leave my team.”
