Ethan gave Rita and Zander a heads up, so by the time they got to the hospital, they hadn't had breakfast yet. Ethan whipped up a veggie meat stew for them, which was pretty darn good.

After they finished, Rita said with a grin, "Ethan, you're a real gem, getting up so early to cook for us."

Ethan replied, "Oh, don't mention it. Izzy and I are usually not around to take care of you guys, so we should do what we can when we get a chance."

Rita chuckled, then turned to Ines, "Izzy, you've been married to Ethan for almost a year now, did your cooking skills improve?"

Ines blushed, "A bit better than before, I can whip up a few decent dishes now." But since she got pregnant, she hadn't done any cooking, so she wasn't sure about her current level.

Ines paused, she seemed to have forgotten even the recipes.

Rita looked at her with a bit of suspicion, but didn't say anything in the end. She herself wasn't a great cook, so she wasn't one to judge.

Zander asked, "Ethan, Izzy, when's your flight?"

"Half-past nine." Ethan said.

Zander glanced at the time and realized it was getting late, "You guys should head to the airport now, just in case there's traffic and you miss your flight."

Ethan nodded. Ines gave Rita a reluctant hug, reminding her, "Take good care of yourself, don't get all worked up, especially with your students. They're nearly adult now. Their minds are maturing and they know they need to take responsibility for their lives. Don't let them get under your skin. The doctor wants to prescribe some emergency medication for you, and make sure to carry it, just in case."

"When did you become such a nag? Zander will keep an eye on me, you don't have to worry. But you, you've been pregnant for a while now, even though the airlines still let pregnant women like you fly, you should stop. High altitude pressure isn't good for the baby, just stay put in A City, Zander and I will come visit when we can." Rita said.

"Okay, I got it, when are you guys coming?" Ines asked.

"Don't worry, we'll fly over as soon as we can, we're excited to meet the twins too." Rita said.

Ines chatted in the hospital room for a bit longer, and finally left with Ethan when it was really getting late.

By the time they got back to A City, it was almost noon. As soon as Ines turned on her phone, she received a text from Emma saying that Shirley and Carlos had been caught.

Ines was shaking, she had been waiting for this day for a long time, the woman who killed her father was finally caught. She was just about to share the good news with Ethan when he received a call from Alan, obviously about the same thing.

After the call, Ethan grinned, "Izzy, Shirley and Carlos got nabbed."

"I saw Emma's text." Ines smiled faintly.
