Everyone was on board, and the kids' names were set. Little did they know, there was going to be a name change fiasco in their future.
After sleeping for a few hours, Ines regained her energy and didn't want to sleep anymore. Ethan placed a cushion behind her and helped her sit up comfortably.
Once she was up, Ethan whipped out a comb from somewhere, ready to do her hair. With so many people in the room, Ines was a little embarrassed to have Ethan comb her hair. She stopped him, “I can do it myself.”
“It’s okay, I got this.”
Ethan insisted, and Ines couldn’t stop him. His moves were a bit clumsy, but he was done quickly. Ines looked at him, and asked in confusion, “You're done?”
Ethan was quite pleased with himself. He nodded and smiled, “Done.”
Ines didn't expect much from him, and didn't question it. She couldn't see it, but the others could tell he did an okay job.
Erica raised an eyebrow, looking at Ines, “Izzy, you didn't chop off much of your hair. It could be a bit tricky for you while you are recovering in the next few days.”
Ines thought back to the incident a few days ago and found it amusing. She didn't want to chop her hair off but understood the reasoning.
Ethan didn't want her to cut it. The hairstylist barely snipped anything, and he got all moody, making things super awkward. In the end, she let the hairstylist trim just a bit, and that was when Ethan's expression finally lightened up a bit.
“Ethan didn't want me to cut it.” Ines blamed it all on Ethan.
“Then let him take care of it for you from now on.” Erica glanced at Ethan with some impatience. She thought he was being a bit too controlling, even wanting to control his wife's hairstyle.
Ethan scratched his nose awkwardly, not saying anything.
Ines laughed, “That's what I was thinking.”
While they were talking, Olivia, who had been sleeping in the baby carriage, started to cry. It wasn't loud crying, but rather intermittent and slow, as if she were being lazy about it, crying for a bit and then pausing before crying again.
Phillip immediately picked her up, gently patting her back, “Bella, don't cry, your daddy is making formula for you, you'll have something to eat soon.”
Ethan was making formula on the side. Hearing her daughter's crying, Ines felt a bit worried. She looked at Erica, “Mom, Bella's crying sounds a bit off. It's like she does not have much strength."
Erica patted Ines' shoulder, “Don't worry. The kids have been checked, and everything is fine. Maybe she's just a quiet type who doesn't like to cry."
Bella was indeed a good girl. Once she had food, she stopped crying. She closed her eyes and started eating, and Ines watched her.
Phillip handed the baby to Ines, “Izzy, hold Bella for a bit.”
Ines smiled, holding her daughter's soft body. All the pain before felt worth it. The baby girl's eyes were still closed, but her eyelashes were already long, similar to Ethan's.
"I'm not sure if our baby's eyes are like mine." Ines whispered. She thought her most prominent feature was her eyes, and she couldn't compare to Ethan in other aspects.
"Don't worry. The baby should be able to open her eyes in a few days. It doesn't matter if she looks like you or me. We're both good-looking, so there's no need to worry about the baby not looking good." Ethan sat on the bed, watching Bella drink milk, his heart filled with joy.
