Ines halted, turning nervously towards Ethan. “Ethan, I think that’s Emma and the others.”
Ethan furrowed his brows, listening closely. He too recognized Emma’s voice. He addressed Camela and Moria, “You two take the kids back to the car and wait for us. Izzy and I will go check it out.”
They nodded, taking the little ones back to the car.
Ines, arm in arm with Ethan, approached the scene. In the middle of a crowd, Aiden and Gentry were engaged in a brawl. Both were throwing punches and kicks without holding back, neither willing to back down. Emma, standing aside, was on the verge of tears. She was holding Jasmine but too afraid to intervene. She could only watch helplessly.
“I didn’t know you have such a taste for stealing my woman and my daughter behind my back.” Aiden’s face was swollen on one side. His eyes were filled with rage as he glared at Gentry.
Initially, he was planning to visit his daughter, but was informed at the Galeana residence that Emma had taken her out. Disappointment filled him, and he hit the road, only to see another man holding his daughter in the streets, with Emma by his side. The two seemed to share a pleasant conversation. Emma’s face was lit with joy, a picture of contentment.
On such a beautiful weekend, his daughter and ex-lover were out with another man while he was alone, aimlessly driving around town. The sight stung him, and a flame of anger was ignited in his heart. Unable to contain his fury, he parked the car and stormed towards Gentry, throwing a punch.
Gentry, who had always harbored a grudge against Aiden for hurting Emma and divorcing her while their daughter was still young, didn’t hold back either. His words were harsh and filled with sarcasm.
“Aiden, you should be ashamed of your words. Emma is no longer your wife, and the custody of Jasmine has been granted to her. You merely have visitation rights. How Emma chooses to spend her weekends is none of your business. You have no right to interfere.”
“I have every right! I am her father. It’s a fact that will never change. I won’t allow you to hold my daughter, and don’t you dare dream of replacing me. You’re not fit to be her father.” Aiden, who stood half a head taller, gripped Gentry’s shirt, and looked down at him.
Gentry’s face went from pale to flushed. He was a bit startled by Aiden’s speech. Not bearing to see this, Emma handed Jasmine to a middle-aged woman standing nearby and tried to pry Aiden’s hand off Gentry.
