Finley never expected things to turn out like this. Watching Bianca suffer yet another humiliation, he reached out and pulled her close. His gaze toward Elaine was filled with complex emations. 

Elaine was beautiful and captivating now, hut she was also someone he no longer recognized, someone completely different from the person he 

once knew. 

“Elaine, was it really necessary to speak so harshly?” Finley said 

Elaine’s voice was cold as she replied. “Oh? So you think I should just stay silent t when someone insults me and allow myself to be humiliated? Bianca clearly needs to get her damn head checked—why don’t you drag your dumb ass along too?” 

Shirley could not help but chuckle when she heard Elaine’s words.

Cheryl’s sharp business attire made her presence even more intimidating. She exuded the energy of someone ready to destroy 

“That’s not what I meant…” Finley hesitated before adding, “All Bianca did was mention to Mr. Yates that you two were sisters. Why act like she just cursed you?” 

Elaine shot him a condescending look and snorted. “Oh, Finley, are you actually this clueless? The whole world knows I’ve cut ties with the Years family. We’ve already burned all bridges and fought publicly online. 

“Do you really think I want to hear about them? How hilarious. I’m starting to think your head is just for decoration, Finley 

Finley was at a loss for words. 

Cheryl said, “Oh, for fuck’s sake. Who doesn’t know the Yeats family’s dirty laundry by now? Are you seriously the only one dumb enough to think this is something worth boasting about?” 

Sharon and Sally put down their drinks, ready to defend Elaine as they turned to face Finley, 

Sharon gave Bianca a side–eyed glance and said, “That’s definitely not anything worth bragging about. Their relationship was severed, and anyone with sense would steer clear of talking about it. However, Bianca keeps mentioning it. She clearly has ulterior motives” 

Sally smiled. “You and Bianca are a perfect match, Mr. Scon. You’re the one who started it, but now you’re blaming others for speaking harshly You’re twisting the facts and causing a scene on someone else’s turf. 

“If you keep defending your ex–girlfriend, don’t be surprised if you end up exposing everything you’re trying to cover up.” 

The people in this circle were too perceptive to be taken in by Finley’s words.. 

Everyone could see that Finley and Bianca were in the wrong, yet they still had the audacity to blame Elaine. They did indeed need to get their heads checked. 

Zachary listened to the conversation and understood the full story.

Hannah was starting to realize that Finley was being overly protective of Bianca, and how unreasonable he was being in attacking Elaine.
