Chapter 261
Chapter 261
As Jepson stepped out of the office, he spotted Elaine walking toward him.
Kingsley’s tall, imposing figure cut through the rainy backdrops, his silhouette sharp and almost otherworldly–like modern–day hero bathed in mist.
Jepson, with a complex expression, quickly averted his gaze and muttered. “Elaine…”
But Elaine acted as though she hadn’t even seen him. She brushed past him without a glance.
And she was headed straight for Bianca’s office.
Jepson opened his mouth, as if to say something more, but in the end, he remained silent.
Kingsley, noticing the tension in the air, glanced at Jepson and asked, “Care to talk?”
Jepson, despite the awkwardness, nodded and followed Kingsley.
It was clear that Elaine had something to say to Bianca.
What that was, only she knew.
Elaine had decided that it was time to face Bianca. After years of this ongoing battle, she felt it was time to bring things to an
end.
“Elaine, is that you?”
Bianca, her face bruised with the marks of the slaps, her complexion pale and a mess of broken pride, looked at Elaine with a seething mix of disbelief and raw hatred. The rage in her eyes was venormous, almost as if she were ripping off the façade she had once so carefully maintained
She staggered, but the arrogant, superior glint in her eyes was gone. She had no more power to show off or provoke. The beloved princess of the Years family, once perched on a pedestal, had now fallen face–first into the mud.
Elaine, tall in her high heels, coldly looked down at Bianca, the woman who had tormented her for so long. There was no sympathy in her voice when she spoke: “Yes, it’s me. Bianca, I’ve come to see you.”
The words hit Bianca like a slap.
Elaine wasn’t here to help; she was here to watch Bianca’s downfall because Bianca had lost everything.
The love of the Yeats family. The adoration of fans. The perfect life she had always flaunted. The life that everyone envied.
Now, all those things were gone, and Elaine was here to witness her torment.
“Elaine, Bianca sneered, her voice trembling with bitterness. “You’re happy to see me like this, aren’t you?”
The words exploded from her, a mad, wild laugh escaping her lips as if to hide the crippling pain inside. How dare Elaine witness her most humiliating moment?
Bianca suddenly remembered something: when Elaine got engaged, she had said she wanted Bianca to live like a rotting hug in the sewers–forced to spend her life in regret and misery, forever looking up at her.
At the time, Bianca had dismissed it as nonsense.
But now, everything clicked. Bianca’s eyes widened in realization. “Elaine, you were the one behind all of this, weren’t you? You’re the one who orchestrated everything! I’m going to tell my brothers what kind of wicked person you really are.”

Elaine merely smiled, her expression ummoved. “You think I’m here to feel sorry for you? Of course I’m happy you’re suffering. You should’ve known I’d be watching, enjoying every moment of your misery. It’s what you deserve.
“You bitch!”
Bianca’s fury boiled over, and she lunged to slaps Elaine.
But Elaine was ready. She grabbed Bianca’s hair, yanked her head back, and slapped her hard across the face. The impact rang out, adding another layer of pain to Bianca’s torment.
Bianca shrieked, a piercing, desperate scream that echoed in the room.
“Bianca,” Elaine said, her voice icy, eyes gleaming with disdain. “What gave you the courage to think you could get away with anything in front of me? I’ll teach you a lesson now–just one move from me and you’ll experience the suffering you’re going through right now.”
She watched Bianca’s contorted face with cold amusement, memories of how this woman had once schemed against her flooding her mind. The smile that stretched across Elaine’s face was full of irony.
“Are you remembering what I said to you back then? That I’d crush you into the mud, make you the laughingstock of everyone? How does it feel now, Bianca? You can’t even handle this much, can you?”
Bianca’s eyes burned with venom, but Elaine wasn’t done.
“You wanted a life of luxury, of admiration, of being the beloved one, didn’t you? You wanted everyone to envy you, to treat you like a princess. Bianca, don’t you ever look in a mirror? Do you really think you’re worthy of all that?”
Bianca’s face turned white with realization. Elaine was right.
She had been pampered by the Yeats family all her life, but Elaine had never been the same. She had faced true hardship. not the kind of sheltered life Bianca had lived.
Elaine’s voice was calm, almost merciless. “You know, Bianca, do you remember the most disgusting thing you ever said to me? You told me you never meant to hurt me, never tried to trip me up. That everything that happened between us was just a misunderstanding, that it wasn’t your fault.”
Elaine’s eyes were cold as she looked at Bianca, as if she were the judge delivering a final verdict. “Bianca, did you really think I didn’t know? I know everything. I know how much you hate me.”
She tugged Bianca’s hair harder, forcing her to look up at her. “For years, you’ve played the innocent, the sweet one, pretending to be the perfect angel while stealing everything from me.
“You’ve always known how to manipulate people, to get what you want. Every time you succeeded, I’d see that look in your eyes. That triumphant, mocking look. You were showing off–taunting me with everything I didn’t have, rubbing it in my
face
