Chapter 57
Online discussions were buzzing, with most netizens eagerly anticipating a dramatic love triangle between two women vying for one man. However, some recalled a trending topic from a few months ago and began speculating like amateur fortune–tellers.
I have a feeling Finley’s about to get a reality check. If Elaine could ignore him once, she can definitely ignore him again. Honestly, maybe she’s already moved on from this guy. Ever since Elaine’s complete transformation a few months back, things have gotten so much more interesting.”
“Exactly! Remember the guy in the suit who went shopping with her? Whether Elaine’s genuinely over Finley or just messing with him, it’s pure entertainment for us. I can’t wait to see what happens next.”
“Stop, you’re making me even more excited for her entrance.”
*Same here! Let’s go, Elaine–we’re waiting for the next act in this drama.”
Public sentiment had shifted; now the focus was squarely on Elaine.
From her perch in a private booth overlooking the ballroom, Cheryl had been eagerly awaiting Elaine’s grand entrance.
But to her disappointment, the first pair to walk in was none other than Finley and Bianca. The sight nearly made her spit out her drink. Without Elaine in the picture, this scandalous duo had no qualms about appearing together in public. Hand in hand, they entered the grand ballroom, ignoring the fact that they were being watched by countless high–society attendees and scrutinized by the relentless gaze of the internet. As they moved gracefully through the room, online chatter erupted, with some praising their compatibility while others took the opportunity to mock Elaine. Cheryl was so enraged that she nearly shattered the wine glass in her hand.
Finley, you heartless bastard.”
He was clearly taking advantage of Elaine’s past affection for him, completely disregarding her feelings.
When Finley glanced up and noticed Cheryl’s angry expression, a smirk tugged at his lips. To him, the plan was working perfectly–Elaine would undoubtedly be fuming.
“Finley, called a familiar voice.
Martin, accompanied by a group of their friends, had arrived. His eyes lit up when he saw Bianca, who was widely regarded as the most beautiful woman in the industry.
“Miss Yeats, Bianca greeted warmly, her tone intimate.
She had always gotten along well with Finley’s friends, even during their past relationship. After their breakup, she managed to maintain those connections, which she now relied on.
Martin, however, had no time for small talk. Slinging an arm over Finley’s shoulder, he leaned in conspiratorially.
“I heard Elaine’s been in the dressing room getting ready. She’ll be here any minute, and you’re bound to run into her,” he said with a mischievous grin. “When she sees you and Bianca together, she’s going to lose her mind. But listen, man, you’ve gotta balance it out. Sure, you want to rile her up, but don’t let it go too far. You don’t want things to stay tense forever, right? We all know you’re still pissed about that news story with her and that other guy, but you’ve got to cool it.”
Bianca overheard every word and felt her heart sink.
So this was why Finley had invited her to the charity gala–to provoke Elaine.
“What do they take me for?” Bianca thought bitterly. Her resentment flared, but she masked it with her signature dazzling smile, refusing to let anyone see her vulnerability.
“Look! Elaine’s here!” Martin exclaimed, slapping Finley on the shoulder and pointing toward the entrance.
The entire ballroom seemed to freeze as Elaine walked in.
For a moment, the lively chatter and the upbeat violin melody stopped. Cameras turned, reporters adjusted their lenses, and gasps rippled through the crowd.

Chapter 57
Elaine was a vision.
Even the women in the room couldn’t help but whisper in awe, their words stumbling over each other.
“She… she’s stunning.
“Wait… why is she wearing the exact same dress as Bianca?”
But look at her–it’s breathtaking.”
Online viewers finally registered Elaine’s arrival. Her dress, identical to Bianca’s, immediately drew comparisons between the two women. Standing side by side, the contrast was striking, and Elaine clearly came out on top.
The phrase “whoever looks worse loses had never been more fitting.
Bianca’s carefully maintained smile faltered, nearly breaking under the weight of her mounting frustration.
