Diana had no idea that the woman in front of her was Elaine’s mother, just as Tracy didn’t know that the Elaine from Radiant Media was her very own daughter.

Seeing that Elaine had already arrived, Diana didn’t bother with any pleasantries with her secretary, hastily excusing herself 

to leave. 

Tracy walked into Shawn’s office, expecting to find the head of Radiant Media, but instead, she was met by none other than Elaine. 

Her brow furrowed in confusion. “Elaine, what are you doing here?” 

At this moment, Tracy certainly didn’t suspect that Elaine was the president of Radiant Media. 

Elaine, a playful smirk tugging at her lips, teased, “Why can’t it be me? Mrs. Yeats, did you buy the whole world or something? Have you started deciding who gets to come and go? 

Tracy locked eyes with Elaine, unable to say a word. The bitter truth hit her–her daughter truly seemed unwilling to recognize her anymore, and her tone was sharp with hidden barbs. 

“You know that’s not what I meant, Tracy said softly, trying to maintain some composure. 

Elaine let out a cold laugh, her voice dripping with mockery, “Oh Well, I was under the impression that mouths were for talking. If you don’t clarify, how am I supposed to know what you mean?” 

Tracy was rendered speechless 

She couldn’t strike out, and she certainly couldn’t win in an argument, so she chose silence instead. 

As a woman with seven sons, Tracy had always been at the top of the household hierarchy, pampered by her sons and husband. But now, for the first time in front of her children, she was humiliated. She couldn’t help but glance at Shawn. silently pleading for help. 

Shawn, however, ignored his mother completely. He placed the termination letter on the desk and addressed Elaine, his voice firm. “Elaine, if you don’t terminate your contract, I promise you the next six months will be very generous. Variety shows, movies, TV dramas–you’ll have access to all the company’s resources. 

Tracy’s eyes widened in surprise. 

If this had been before, there was no way Shawn would have ever supported Elaine. Galaxy Entertainment had always been all about Bianca. And if Bianca found out about this? She would be devastated 

Besides, giving resources to Elaine? That would be a waste, wouldn’t it? 

After a moment of hesitation, Tracy opened her mouth, attempting to interrupt Shawn’s words. “Shawn, I think what you’re doing might not be the wisest. You should at least consult Bianca- 

Before she could finish, Shawn cut her off sharply. He knew exactly what Tracy was thinking. 

He looked at his mother, fighting to keep his temper in check. “Mom, can you please stop interfering with the company? Don’t forget. Im the president of Galaxy Entertainment. Every decision I make has a purpose.

The tension in the air was palpable as Shawn’s words hit hard 1 brow twitched with anger, a vein pulsing in his forehead. 

Now, it all made sense. Why had he once been so swayed by Tracy, believing all her negative talk about Elaine? 

It was Tracy’s relentless voice in his ear, day after day, year after year, constantly belittling Elaine’s abilities and qualifications.

Shawn paused, his expression growing somber. He had to admit maybe if their brothers had cared more about Elaine, shown her a little more love and attention, their relationship wouldn’t have deteriorated like this.
