Niamh didn’t answer his question. She just looked at him in silence. While she was in the car with Billie, their conversation gave her a big realization. 

Right now, there was a coldness in Niamh’s eyes, as well as disbelief. She couldn’t believe that Castiel would hit her because of Macy, and… 

“When you did that, what were you thinking?” Niamh asked suddenly. 

Castiel asked, “What?” 

“When you hit me for Macy, what were you thinking?” 

Castiel exploded in anger. “You think I hit you for her?” 

“Were you not?” 

Castiel remained silent as he glared daggers at her 

Niamh’s gaze was as distant as if she were looking at a stranger. When did they come to this point of mutual distrust so quickly? 

She had never imagined they would end up like this, but now… 

Taking a deep breath, she said, “I need to go back.) 

Seeing Castiel’s silence only deepened her sense of despair. She was beyond heartbreak now, feeling nothing but loathing for the pain itself.

Niamh looked at him with a mixture of defiance and resignation. “What more do you want from me? Isn’t this enough?‘

“Go and investigate!” It was clear what Castiel was instructing Lucian to do. 

Niamh could feel her forehead throbbing, and she noticed Castiel’s breathing becoming more rapid. 

Lucian had been by Castiel’s side for many years, undoubtedly having been trained under the most severe conditions. When it came to obtaining information, he was exceptionally fast. 

Of course, Niamh’s trip abroad was a one–time error. 

Soon, Lucian approached Castiel from behind. When he looked at Niamh, his brow furrowed unusually.

Castiel’s breathing tightened, and his Niamh was more than just anger.
