Chapter 81 

Niamh’s heart jumped to her throat. If Blake was in a bad mood, he would also become more nitpicky. 

“We just revised this yesterday. Please have a look!” She placed a folder on the large desk and pushed it toward Blake. 

Blake opened the folder and flipped through the draft. He went through it rather quickly, as if he wasn’t reviewing it seriously. 

Niamh’s breathing grew faster. She wracked her brain, trying to think of what to say. However, he was giving off an oppressive vibe at the 

moment. 

Because of this, she couldn’t think straight. She couldn’t think of the response that the team had come up with on short notice in case he rejected the draft. 

“Did you catch a cold?” 

The moment Blake spoke, Niamh felt like her heart was about to shatter. “What?” 

However, his unrelated question caught her off–guard. 

“Yes,” she said, nodding hurriedly. 

As she thought, she shouldn’t burn herself out for someone who wasn’t worth it. In the end, she would be the one who suffered. 

Blake’s long fingers made something as simple as flipping through a draft look elegant. A frown deepened between his eyebrows. 

Niamh’s determination from last night was now gone. At that moment, all Niamh could think was, “We’re done for!” 

If this couldn’t even make it past Blake, then this draft would never pass the final review. 

“Alright, let’s do it like this. It’s not bad.” 

Niamh was stunned into silence. 

Blake slipped the draft back into the folder and handed it back to her. 

Niamh was dazed. She felt like she had just been through a rollercoaster of emotions. She never thought that the draft would get accepted! 

“I–Is this good enough?” 

“Do you still want to revise it?” 

“N–No!” Revising a draft was very frustrating. 

Everyone trusted their initial feelings the most. If she didn’t even have 

a good initial feeling about her work, then it was practically never going to get better. 

Blake gazed at her, his mouth curling. 

Just a minute ago, he had been frowning. But now, he was smiling. Niamh’s heart clenched. 

Blake stood up. He was so tall that it made Niamh’s already anxious self feel even more pressured. 

“Let’s go!” 

“Go where?” 

Was he asking her to come with him? 

That couldn’t be it, right? 

“To the hospital.” Blake walked out of the room. 

Niamh’s brain froze. All of a sudden, she couldn’t respond. To tell the truth, she didn’t even know Blake’s full name. 

It was true; she didn’t know! 

All she knew was that he was Mr. Field, the CEO of Leopardbite Intl. 

And now, he wanted to take her to the hospital when she didn’t even know his first name! 

“You’re very ill. If you don’t get treated, you won’t even be able to attend the final review. Or, do you want to give up on this chance?”
