Camp Closeted novel Chapter 49

I quickly woke up, noticing Jesse's bare muscular arms wrapped around me, making our shirtless bodies closely rub against each other in a tight hug.

Since he was somewhat taller than me, my face was slightly underneath his jawline. He smelled like his usual cologne as I slowly tried to break away.

He noticed my sudden movement to get away from his strong grip, making his bright blue eyes slowly open at me.

I brushed out of his hug as I quickly sat up and stretched out my body, loudly yawning. "Where were you yesterday?" Jesse groggily asked behind me, his voice a lot deeper in tone since he just woke up.

"The party." I turned back around and looked at him, our eyes coldly meeting. "You'd know if you answered my calls or texts, but you didn't."

Jesse slightly frowned as he sat up now too, his lips reddened as his black cloudy hair was messy in the most attractive way possible. "Micah, I told you I wasn't gonna be able to talk to you all day yesterday because I was playing basketball."

"Jesse, you literally never said that to me, what are you talking about?" I quickly replied, slightly getting impatient by what he just answered. "You're telling me you didn't check your phone for like what, 15 hours?" I coughed, my voice slightly raspy.

"Do you expect me to?" He asked softly.

"I expect you to care enough to talk to me." I snapped.

"Micah, I do care." I blinked, his hand slowly brushing against my back.

"Well you don't act like you do." I angrily murmured.

"For the record, I did try calling you at night, after I finished playing." He licked over his pink lips as his blue eyes were squinted from the sun rays hitting against his pale porcelain skin. "You didn't answer though."

"Because I was drunk." I shrugged, rolling my eyes at him as I watched him watch me, silence breaking between us.

"Why do you have so many bruises on your body?" His eyes didn't leave mine as I didn't return his gaze, looking away from him.

"Why does it matter?" I sassily responded.

He quickly clicked his mouth as he threw his head back. "Micah, don't be like this."

"Be like what?" I couldn't help raise my voice as Jesse pouted at me, making me sigh to myself as I ran my hand against my face out of annoyance.

Jesse and I sat next to each to each other on the bed as we were both sitting up. Jesse's soft face proceeded to lean against my collar bone as I remained quiet.

"Micah I'm sorry." I kept my hands against my face as Jesse slowly brought his warm lips to trail up against my skin. "I'm sorry, okay?" His voice was low and came out more as a whimper.

"No, stop." I quickly pushed him away as I quickly got up off the bed. "Go play your basketball."

Jesse sighed as I quickly grabbed on a shirt and threw it on. "Micah.." He began.

"No, fuck you." I harshly let out as I didn't even bother looking at his face. All of a sudden, a wave of emotions just quickly came over me as I was wondering if I was about to cry or not. "I waited so long for you to talk to me yesterday Jesse but you didn't. I felt so stupid at that party waiting for nothing. Now you're telling me you played basketball for 15 hours straight without checking your phone? Fuck you." He remained quiet as he just watched me walk away.

I'm probably just being very dramatic, but for some reason I felt really sensitive about Jesse not talking to me yesterday. I think I'm starting to develop actual feelings for him and it scares me..

It scares me a lot...

"Do you know how big of a deal that is!?" Benny exclaimed, his body being buried in an insanely large yellow hoodie, his voice slightly blending in with the conversations in the cafeteria.

I blinked a few times as his finger snapped me me off my trance. "W-what deal?" My response quickly made him click his mouth out in annoyance.

"Okay so last night the one and only Vice Black was at the party! Can you believe that shit?" He spoke excitedly, not caring if anyone in the cafeteria heard him. "He complimented me on my outfit and I was like 'there's plenty more of where that came from' daddy." My mouth dropped.

"Wait the singer Vice Black?" I quickly asked.

"Yass!" Benny's face was melted in complete glee as I let out a sharp exhale. "Oh and also I didn't really call him daddy that was just a joke. Anyways, he asked If ever thought about wanting to be a stylist, so I said yes! He gave me his card and he asked if I was willing to see if we could work together!"

"Holy shit, wait what?" My eyes slightly widened. "Does he want you to be his personal stylist or something? What are you guys gonna work on? Like concert outfits?" I was speaking a lot faster now.

"Not concert outfits, but better!" Benny quickly stuck his tongue out. "He owns that rich ass shoe company called Feline Black, and he said he's planning to do more than shoes and start a clothing line since it's really in for celebrities right now. I think he wants to compete with those clothing lines that a lot of these popular artists are working on. For example, Beyoncé's Ivy Park, Kanye West's Yeezy, Rihanna's Fenty line, you get what I mean."

I don't get what he means but I am still very excited for him. "Benny, this could literally change your life. Vice Black is huge and everyone knows his music."

"I know, I'd be hella stupid not to use his card and call him right quick!" Benny replied. "He's so pretty too! He's a lot hotter in real life."

"How does street fashion even look like?" I asked out of nowhere.

Benny quickly looked up as he began to think to himself. "Um well, there's those sweatpants that have designs on the side. Also, oversized anything, camo anything, mesh anything is basically a must. It's hard to explain but there is a lot of styles when it comes to street fashion."

I just slowly nodded my head. "How did you even get to talk to him anyway? Weren't you really drunk last night?"

Benny snorted as he looked at me. "Hell yea, but I can handle my own liquor, unlike you Lindsay Lohan." We quickly laughed as I rolled my eyes. "I wanted you to meet him but I couldn't find you."

"I was gone yesterday." I let out dryly. "Like completely out of it."

Benny's head slightly tilted at me. "Like you were fucked up?"

I closed my eyes as I nodded. "Yea and so much shit happened to me." I breathed before speaking again, Benny moving in closer to listen. "I kissed Tristan thinking it was Jesse. Can you believe that? I was so drunk that I confused Jesse and his ex and they don't even look alike."

"You kissed his ex!?" Benny's mouth quickly dropped. "Micah you a hoe! How do you even remember doing that shit?" His mouth let out a wide grin.

"Okay Benny I really don't care about that." I began to sound annoyed as I really didn't care about it all. "You know what, let's just stop talking about it, I'm just over the whole subject. It's not like I even have to end up with anyone, so whatever. What's going on with you and Keanu?"

Benny coughed. "We smashed."

My body unconsciously thrashed up in shock. "You're lying." I spoke sternly.

"I am." He laughed out, giving me a small heart attack for no reason. "But him and I are alright I guess. I think the only reason why he hasn't asked me out yet is because he's scared of me."

"S-scared of you?" I asked, sounding confused.

"Yea." He shrugged. "Look Micah, you're probably different, but when I start to like someone, I fucking hate showing it. I become such a rude bitch to whoever I have a crush on, for literally no reason. I become so in denial on how much I really like that person to the point where I start treating them like shit just so they don't suspect my growing affection for them."

"Wow." I just blinked my eyes a couple of times, trying to process what he just said. "That's actually really mean."

Benny just loudly breathed. "I know but I just hate letting my guard down to these hoes. I'm so used to being treated like shit that when someone new starts to make me feel good, I immediately make sure to keep my guard up and make sure to be a cold-hearted bitch."

"So what have you done to Keanu that's keeping him from asking you out?" I queried.

"Well." He took a second to respond. "Every time he would compliment me I would always tell him that he's not being real and would just insult him back."

"What?" I raised an eyebrow at him as I glanced the people passing by us. "What does that mean?"

"Okay, look, compliment me." He quickly commanded.

"You look really cute in that sweater." I politely smiled at Benny.

He quickly threw me a dirty look. "You're ugly ass needs to quit playing. You annoy the shit out of me like for real, can you leave me the fuck alone?"

"Are you serious?" My mouth quickly dropped as he just anxiously laughed. "Benny how could you say stuff like that to Keanu? He's so nice to you!" I sounded genuinely hurt and I wasn't even Keanu.

He just looked down in subtle sadness. "I know, I know it's not right." He sniffed, scratching his nose. "I'm just really starting to like him a lot and I don't know if I should feel good about it or not. I just don't wanna get hurt and end up looking like a dumbass, you feel?" He sighed.

I just threw him a small warm smile. "Same Benny." I slightly tilted my head at him as he crossed his arms. "Same."

All of a sudden, bright blue fabric quickly showed up next to the side of the table, making my eyes slowly look up to whom the shirt belonged to as Benny quietly shrieked to himself.

"Micah, can we talk?" Logan audibly let out.

Holy shit, I'm not ready..
