Chapter 0144
Though Diana was furious, she couldn’t truly ignore Dylan. He was her only brother–and a hopeless one when it came to expressing himself. If she didn’t step in, he’d end up realizing his love too late and would have to go to great lengths to win her back.
So, after leaving the hospital room, Diana noticed someone lurking at the end of the corridor.
Without a second thought, she decided to follow.
The whole floor was quiet, and she was alone. She didn’t have any personal enemies, so she figured this person was probably the one framing her brother, lurking in the shadows to revel in her family’s troubles.
If she didn’t catch them now, Dylan might truly end up wrongfully accused.
The figure moved quickly, disappearing around a corner in an instant.
Undeterred, Diana headed straight to the security office to check the surveillance footage.
But the footage looked perfectly normal as if her encounter had been nothing but a figment of her imagination. Even the guard suggested she might have just imagined it.
“No way!” Diana insisted. “My eyesight’s just fine–I’ve never been wrong about what I see. Someone must’ve tampered with the cameras.”
Whoever had set up her brother was no amateur; they likely had altered the footage in a
short amount of time.
With firm resolve, Diana asked the guard to send her the original footage files. She knew someone who was highly skilled with computers and could potentially recover any deleted data. After setting up a meeting with him, she headed out.
The drive was smooth until a black car suddenly swerved in front of her. Despite her age, Diana was pretty good at driving, and she swiftly adjusted the wheel, narrowly dodging the
car.
At first, she didn’t suspect anything and continued driving, but soon a white car did the same, forcing her off the road and into the greenery.
That was twice in a row, and Diana wasn’t a fool. She knew something was up.
Lowering her window, she glared at the white car ahead and said coldly, “If you want to stop me, let’s see if you’ve got what it takes.”
After speaking, Diana rolled up the window, smoothly put the car in reverse, then swung
back onto the road.
Sure enough, the white car followed right behind.

Chapter 0144
Unfazed, she picked up speed.
Diana might appear like someone who had never seen the harsh side of life, but few knew that after their parents‘ death, Grace had hired top experts in various fields to train her and her brother.
Self–defense, grappling, racing, combat–she had learned it all.
These low–level thugs were nothing to her.
However, there was truth in the saying that even the best fighter can’t take on a whole crowd alone.
Her driving skills were excellent, but even she couldn’t outmaneuver a coordinated ambush.
