Chapter 0193
This question was one he’d already answered, so her bringing it up again clearly meant she hadn’t been satisfied with his previous response. Suzy wouldn’t doubt him without reason –something must have pointed her suspicions back in his direction.
Seeing Dylan stay silent, her gaze sharpened. “Why aren’t you speaking? You already answered this before. It shouldn’t be difficult for you.”
“My answer hasn’t changed. But if I were to tell you again, would you believe me?” Dylan looked directly at her. “If you wouldn’t believe me, what was the point in wasting words?”
Suzy didn’t reply.
Instead, she pulled out her phone and played a video of him meeting with Mark in the middle of the night. “If there were nothing between you, then why did you meet him at such an hour?”
Dylan glanced at the video and, after a brief hesitation, decided to be honest. “If I told you it was to help investigate the truth about what happened back then, would you believe me?”
“To help me uncover the truth?”
Meeting with Mark in the dead of night, not out of personal friendship but to investigate for her?
To be honest, Suzy found it hard to believe.
After all, he had no reason to go to such lengths for her.
To him, she was just the ex–wife he divorced without a second thought.
Dylan could see her skepticism and felt a sting of irritation. “So, you’d rather believe I have some secret friendship with Mark than believe I was meeting him to help you?”
Now that things were laid out plainly, Suzy saw no reason to hold back. “Why would you help me?”
“Because Ilo-”
“Boss…”
Once again; he was cut off mid–sentence, this time by a man he didn’t recognize. All he wanted was to tell Suzy his true feelings, but why was it always so difficult?
Then, seeing this stranger who’d barged into her room without even knocking, in the middle of the night no less, made Dylan’s expression darken. It was clear they were close. And the way he’d called her “Boss” sounded suspiciously like a term of endearment.
Could this be Suzy’s kept man?

Chapter 0193
Allen usually knocked before entering Suzy’s room–unless it was an urgent matter like nów. He had critical information for her, which was why he’d skipped the formality this
time.
But he hadn’t expected to walk in on Dylan, shirt half–open, showing off his abs. His glare was intense enough to eat someone alive.
Allen couldn’t help but assume they’d been up to something inappropriate before he interrupted.
