Chapter 0225
Chapter 0225
After a full night’s rest, Suzy woke up early, only to find someone who had risen even earlier.
Walking into the kitchen, she spotted Charlotte busy at the counter. “Up so early?”
Charlotte glanced over her shoulder while chopping vegetables, then returned to her task. ” Not like I had a choice, considering someone has an early morning and a packed schedule! Breakfast is almost ready–go wait in the dining room.”
Suzy had assumed her aunt had plans of her own, but it turned out she was up just to make breakfast for her. Warmth spread through her chest at the thought.
Still, her aunt’s cooking skills…
“Cough, cough.”
Suzy nearly choked after taking her first bite of the fried egg.
Charlotte noticed and quickly handed her a glass of milk. “Good grief, how old are you? Can’t you eat without choking? Slow down.”
Then, as if that wasn’t enough, she added, “So, how is it? Good?”
Suzy took the milk, set it aside, and forced a smile. “Delicious.”
So delicious it was unforgettable–unforgettably bad. The kind of meal that would make everyone vow never to try it again.
Charlotte beamed with pride. “If it’s that good, have some more. Better yet, why don’t you move in with me? Now that we don’t have to keep hiding anymore, you could live here, and I could cook you breakfast every day.”
Suzy quickly dabbed at her mouth with a napkin. “Let’s not, my dear aunt. You’re much better suited to gardening and tending to flowers. The kitchen’s grease and smoke might ruin that eternal youth of yours. So, after this meal, no more cooking for me, alright?”
This ‘heartfelt breakfast‘ was beyond bad–words couldn’t quite do it justice.
But Charlotte laughed. “If it’s for my beloved niece, I’d happily turn into an old hag for your sake!”
Suzy didn’t argue further. Instead, she grabbed her coat off the chair. “I need to stop by the Harlow estate to change before heading out. Time’s a bit tight, so I’ll get going.”
As Suzy prepared to leave, Charlotte grabbed the untouched glass of milk from the table and handed it to her. “You didn’t finish your milk. A glass a day keeps your calcium levels up!”

Chapter 0225
“Do I look like I’m lacking calcium at my age?” Suzy grumbled, wondering if, in the eyes of older relatives, she would always be a child no matter how old she got.
“Less talk, more drinking. Just drink it!”
“Fine, I’ll drink it!” Suzy took the glass and downed it in one go, then flipped the empty cup upside down to show Charlotte. “Not a drop left!”
“That’s my good girl!” Charlotte teased, giving Suzy’s cheek a playful pinch. “I know you won’t let me drive you, so take any car from the garage. Pick whichever one you like.”
“Got it!”
Suzy left Charlotte’s house and headed back to the Harlow estate to change into the evening gown she’d chosen for the project launch banquet.
At Harlow Corporation, everything was already set up by the time Suzy arrived. The staff had made all the preparations, waiting only for her go–ahead.
