Chapter 0291
In his final moments, he faced death without fear, using it as an opportunity to confess his feelings to her.
It would be hard to say she wasn’t moved, after all, he had once been the man she loved, but it was only a flicker of emotion.
So, with frustration, she snapped, “You’re about to die, and you’re still talking about love?”
Dylan fell silent, clearly wanting to say more, but his strength had faded, and his eyelids grew heavier by the second.
“Dylan…”
Seeing him close his eyes, Suzy’s heart tightened in fear.
At Hawk’s residence, a man dressed in all black approached the figure standing by the floor -to–ceiling window. “Master, it’s done.”
Hearing this, Hawk’s lips curled into a smug smile. “Good.‘
He walked over to the liquor cabinet and opened a bottle of champagne, pouring a glass for his subordinate.
The man looked surprised. “Thank you, Master”
“I should be thanking you,” Hawk replied, clinking his glass with the man’s. “If Dylan dies, you’ll be the one to take credit.”
“Master is too kind. It’s just part of my duty.”
After drinking, the man left the room.
Once alone, Hawk tilted his head back and drained his glass, a satisfied smile spreading across his handsome face. “Dylan, if you want to fight me for Suzy, you’d better have the strength to back it up.”
Just as he was enjoying the moment, a voice suddenly broke the silence from the corner. ” Did you poison Dylan?”
“Yes.”
“Hawk…” The voice was filled with clear displeasure. “You and Suzy were trained by the same mentor. If she investigates, it won’t take long for her to trace everything back to you. This is just reckless. You’re harming yourself as much as you’re trying to hurt him!”
“So what?” Hawk replied, his tone cold. “As long as Dylan is dead, I don’t care about anything else.”

The other party clenched their fists, clearly frustrated. “There are plenty of women in the world. Why Suzy? Why her?”
“That’s a question you should be asking yourself,” Hawk sneered. “Why are you so fixated on her, to the point of destroying the entire Frost family? So many innocent lives were lost. Don’t you suffer from any nightmares after all these years?”
“You-”
Hawk’s words cut through the tension, his voice icy. “If you hadn’t secretly sent people to kill Suzy three years ago, she and Dylan would never have met!”
There were words Hawk had been holding back for a long time. “Back then, when you tricked me and poisoned Suzy, you thought I didn’t know?”
It was that person who had poisoned Suzy, but afterward, they’d lied, claiming it was an enemy attack. Hawk had never confronted that person not out of fear, but because he hadn’t yet found the evidence.
“If it weren’t for you, Suzy would never have met Dylan, and she certainly wouldn’t have fallen for him!”
A storm of fury surrounded Hawk as he stood, his anger nearly palpable. “If she hadn’t fallen for Dylan, I wouldn’t be in this situation now!”
