Suzy had long realized that Yara wasn’t just an ordinary pawn. 

As Allen had pointed out, if she were, she wouldn’t have survived this long. Everyone Suzy had encountered before–anyone tied to the killer–had been eliminated almost immediately after being captured. Yet Yara remained unharmed, alive and well. 

That was precisely why Suzy had sent her to the police and secretly planted a tracker on her. It wasn’t a guaranteed plan, more of an experiment to see what would happen. But as it turned out, her hunch was correct. Yara’s importance likely ran much deeper, perhaps even closely tied to the killer. 

Following the tracker’s signal, the trail led out of the country. That same day, Allen reported back. “Boss, we lost her.” 

Suzy wasn’t surprised. “Looks like she suspected the tracker all along and used it to mislead us.” 

The intent was clear. It was to stall her and waste her time. 

But Suzy wasn’t deterred. She had prepared for this. 

After all, she didn’t plant just one tracker. 

Having faced the killer for years, Suzy knew better than anyone how cunning they were. She’d taken precautions, anticipating such a move. 

This time, she decided to go in person, bringing along Riley, Raven, and Avalon to assist 

her. 

The journey went smoothly–at least, it would have if it weren’t for two familiar 

annoyances.

Dylan and Hawk had, once again, tagged along. 

Suzy noticed them midway through the trip. Each of them was in their own helicopter, tailing hers persistently. She tried shaking them off several times but failed. 

Eventually, she gave up.. 

Fine. Let them tag along. As long as they stayed out of her way, she could tolerate it. 

The tracker eventually led her to a nightclub. There, Suzy finally caught up to Yara. 

But the Yara standing before her was completely different from the sweet and innocent image she used to project. She now wore a tight black bodycon dress that accentuated her curves, exuding a bold, sultry confidence.

“How thorough,” Suzy thought with a wry smile. It was the first time she’d ever been deceived so completely. 

Instead of anger, a smile tugged at her lips as she walked over to Yara, who was enjoying being pampered. “Yara, look who’s here. Your best friend’s come to see you!” 

Yara’s head whipped around at the sound of Suzy’s voice, her expression darkening instantly. “Damn it. You still managed to find me!” 

Suzy’s smile remained as calm as ever. “Of course. You went missing, so I got worried and came looking for you. What’s wrong? Not happy to see me?” 

Yara waved her hand, dismissing the two men at her side, her expression now icy as she stared at Suzy. “What do you want?”
