Her phone rang. It was Claude calling. 

He rarely called her, so there had to be something important. 

Especially this late at night. 

Not wanting Dylan to overhear, Suzy stepped out onto the balcony. 

“Claude, what’s up?” 

“Nothing serious. Just wanted to let you know that I took the medicine you gave me. It’s working well. 

“Really?” Suzy couldn’t help but feel a bit excited. “Make sure to take it on time. Let me know when you run out, and I’ll bring more.” 

Just as Dylan stepped out of the bathroom, he heard Suzy’s voice coming from the balcony. 

His eyes narrowed, and he moved closer, just in time to hear… 

“Of course I miss you…” 

Miss who? Allen? 

A cold glint flickered in his eyes. 

Without saying a word, he turned back into the room, kicking a nearby chair out of his way. 

In truth, Claude had teased her, saying, “Haven’t seen you in a few days. Have you missed me?” 

Suzy, who saw Claude as nothing more than an older brother, had playfully replied, “Of course I miss you…” 

Hearing the noise, Suzy quickly hung up and deleted the call log. 

There was no way Dylan could find out about her relationship with Claude, 

Back inside, she saw Dylan sitting on the bed, clearly upset. 

She pretended not to notice. Whatever mood he was in had nothing to do with her. 

Walking over to the wardrobe, Suzy intended to grab a blanket to sleep on the floor. But to her surprise, there was nothing inside but clothes.. 

Not to mention a quilt, there wasn’t even a blanket! 

So much for that plan. Only then did she realize the sofa was also gone. 

There used to be one in this room, but now it had mysteriously disappeared.

Suzy couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh. “Is this really necessary?” 

Were they really going to force her to share a bed with Dylan? 

Well, that wasn’t going to happen. 

Last night she’d had a bit too much to drink, but tonight she was completely sober. 

There was no way. 

Thinking about last night, Suzy wanted to kick herself. 

How had she gotten drunk on just a little bit of alcohol? 

And fine, she had gotten drunk–but why did she have to go to Bayview Heights? 

The idea of throwing herself at Dylan made her cringe with embarrassment. 

Suzy couldn’t believe she’d let that happen. 

She walked to the bed, yanked the blanket off, and laid it out on the floor before lying down. 

Dylan watched from the bed in silence. 

So, after all that fuss, she was just looking for a blanket? 

He got up, walked over, and looked down at her. “Give me the blanket.” 

Suzy kept her eyes shut, pretending not to hear him. 

“Suzy, I don’t like repeating myself.” 

He could say it as many times as he liked–she wasn’t listening!
