When Victor received Suzy’s call on the plane, telling him to come back and pick up Dylan, he thought he must have been dreaming, his longing for Dylan playing tricks on him. 

Even now, seeing Dylan standing before him, he still found it a little hard to believe. 

To test his reality, he quickly stepped forward and pinched Dylan’s arm. “Does it hurt?” 

Dylan frowned. “What do you think?” 

“If it hurts, then I’m not dreaming!” Victor declared, before suddenly pulling Dylan into a tight hug. “Dylan, you scared me half to death! I knew it! You’re not the type to go down so easily!” 

Irritated by Victor’s antics, Dylan shoved him away with a scowl. “If you’ve got something to say, just say it. Keep your hands to yourself.” 

“Oh, look at you! ‘Dead‘ for a few days, and now you’re all dignified?” Victor teased with a grin. “What happened to those days when we used to share the same bed?” 

The more Dylan resisted, the more Victor leaned into being annoying, reaching out again to poke him. 

Dylan’s face turned stern as he fixed Victor with a serious look. “Victor, will you knock it off?” 

Sensing that Dylan might actually be angry, Victor backed off with a shrug. “Alright, alright, I’ll stop! So touchy. I swear, if it were Suzy hugging you instead of me, you’d probably be over the moon.” 

Hearing her name, Suzy gave Victor an annoyed glance. “Take him back first. I’ve got something to take care of.” 

“What is it?” Victor asked instinctively. “Need my help?” 

Before Suzy could answer, Dylan spoke up firmly. “I’ll wait for you. 

Seeing his determination, Suzy didn’t argue. “Fine, if you’re set on waiting, then wait.” 

With that, she began putting on her diving gear 

Victor watched her, then turned to Dylan. “She’s putting on diving equipment. Is that what she meant by having something to take care of? Seriously, at a time like this?” 

Dylan kept his eyes on Suzy, not even turning to acknowledge Victor, as though he hadn’t heard a word.. 

Victor stood there in silence, scratching his head. Was it just his imagination, or did Dylan seem… different than before?

Following Dylan’s directions, Suzy dove to the deepest part of the sea, searching for the spot he described. But no matter how hard she looked, there was nothing there. She searched several times without success. 

Finally, she located the mechanism Dylan had mentioned. Just as he said, activating it revealed a passage that led straight to the island. Suzy scoured every corner inside and out, but there was no sign of Claude’s body. 

When she returned to where Dylan and Victor were waiting, she announced, “I didn’t find anything.” 

Her sudden appearance startled Victor. “Didn’t you just dive into the water? How are you suddenly behind us?” 

They had been waiting by the shore, and after not seeing her surface for a long time, Victor had almost thought something had happened to her.
