Before Grace could say anything, Dylan spoke first. “I’ll walk you out.”
Catching his hint, Suzy nodded. “Alright.”

As the two of them left, Victor immediately took the lead in stirring up gossip. “Did you guys see that? The way they were exchanging looks? Especially Suzy–her attitude toward Dylan is completely different now!
“Remember how she used to treat him? She couldn’t stand the sight of him before, always finding fault. Now it’s like she’s practically making eye contact with him! Doesn’t this mean Dylan might’ve finally reignited the spark in her heart?”
Diana nodded in agreement. “I think so too. Suzy’s attitude toward my brother has definitely softened. Back then, if he offered to walk her out, she wouldn’t just refuse, she’d probably find a way to insult him for suggesting it. But now? She just agreed without a word of complaint.”
Grace shared the same sentiment. “She’s definitely changed.”

She pressed her lips together before finishing, “It won’t change.”
Dylan’s eyes widened for a moment, but he quickly recovered. “I know. I didn’t save you to earn your gratitude or change anything between us. Like Grandma said, you’re the woman I love most. There’s no way I’d just stand by and let something happen to you. I did all of it willingly. Don’t let it weigh on you.”
Suzy felt a twinge of awkwardness and quickly shifted the subject. “I’ll get started on developing an antidote for the poison in your system.”
Suzy reached into the black pouch she always carried at her waist and pulled out a small black porcelain bottle. Tipping it over, she retrieved a single black pill. “This is a Nightdew

Pill. It won’t cure the poison, but it’ll suppress it for now.”
Dylan took it from her and, without hesitation, popped it into his mouth right in front of her. Then he asked, “If I start feeling unwell, can I come to you anytime?”
Suzy was speechless.
By right, he could. But still…
