Chapter 0043
Suzy was a bit surprised. “Anne?”
“Yep!” Allen replied. “She’s the one who paid a hefty price to hire Avalon.”
“How hefty?”
“A hundred thousand dollars.”
“…A hundred thousand dollars?” Suzy’s expression was full of disdain. “It’s not that she’s insulting me–she’s insulting her so–called love. Don’t you think?”
“You’re absolutely right, boss!” Allen couldn’t help but chuckle. But then he added, “Aren’t you focusing on the wrong thing here? Anne’s trying to kill you, and you don’t seem the least bit angry.”
Given Suzy’s usual temper, she should be furious. Even if she wasn’t about to explode, this level of calm was unusual.
“Why should I be mad?” Suzy found it amusing. “Plenty of people want me dead. What’s one more? Besides, just because she wants to kill me doesn’t mean I’ll die.”
“True enough. Especially since the person she hired is one of our own.” Allen smirked. ” Looks like your reappearance has really rattled Anne. She’s feeling the heat, which is why she’s so desperate.”
Suzy leisurely sipped her soup. “Tell Avalon to take the job.”
“You mean…” Allen trailed off.
“If she wants to play, we’ll play along!” A sly glint flashed in Suzy’s eyes.
She had originally planned to wait a couple more days.
After all, with everything that had happened recently, Dylan had likely tightened security around the hospital, making it harder to get close to Anne. Plus, she had no desire to cross paths with Dylan again, especially now that their divorce was official.
Anne’s actions, however, had presented her with an opportunity.
Suzy stood up, went to a hidden compartment, and pulled out a small porcelain bottle, handing it to Allen. “Give this to Avalon and tell her to meet with Anne tonight.”
Allen took the bottle, grinning slyly. “Anne is really digging her own grave, isn’t she?” He didn’t mind one bit.
In fact, he hoped she’d hurry up and die. That way, Willlam and that wretched woman would finally understand the pain he felt when he lost his mother.

Chapter 0043
At nine that evening, Avalon sent word: everything was taken care of.
When Allen relayed the news to Suzy, she showed no reaction, as if everything was already part of her plan.
At that moment, she stood by the floor–to–celling window with a glass of red wine in hand. After hearing the update, she took a small sip before speaking slowly, “If Dylan contacts you, remind him that if Claude doesn’t secure his position within three days, Anne will just have to wait for death.”
Allen nodded, “Got it.”
As expected, it didn’t take long for Dylan to have Desmond reach out to Allen, asking for Red Falcon to arrange the second round of treatment as soon as possible.
