Chapter 0431
Chapter 0431
At Maya’s private villa, the butler personally escorted Suzy, stopping in front of the finest room in the estate. He gestured toward the door and said, “The man is inside, but he won’t let anyone near him–not even to deliver food. So, I’ll leave you to handle it from here.”
The butler’s tone betrayed a mix of fear and frustration. “That man’s a lunatic. He doesn’t hold back, and anyone who’s dared enter that room hasn’t come out unscathed. No one even dares go near the door anymore.”
Suzy gave the butler a sharp look but said nothing, striding forward. As she approached the door, a furious shout rang out from inside.
“Get out!”
The voice, filled with rage, was unmistakably not Dylan’s.
Ignoring the warning, Suzy kicked the door open and stormed in, her gaze locking on the man sitting on the bed.
He was a stranger.
Her brows furrowed tightly as she turned and stormed back out, grabbing the butler by the collar. “If you’re tired of living, just say so!”
The butler trembled violently, his face pale. “W–What do you mean?”
From his panicked expression, Suzy pieced together the truth. “So, the man you’ve been keeping locked up this whole time… it’s this guy?”
“Yes, yes!” The butler’s voice quavered. “Isn’t that right? Is there… something wrong?”
Suzy’s heart sank. She had been wrong from the start. The man Maya had been obsessing over wasn’t Dylan at all.
Then where was Dylan?
What she had thought was the end of her search turned out to be yet another dead end.
A wave of unprecedented frustration washed over her.
Back at the hotel, Suzy sat in silence, her thoughts a whirlwind of defeat.
Her phone buzzed, snapping her out of her haze. It was Victor.
“Where’s Dylan? Let me talk to him!” Victor’s voice was eager, almost triumphant.
He had assumed they’d found Dylan because Suzy had called earlier that day, telling him they had a lead and would find Dylan soon.
Victor had even considered flying over but held back, not wanting to intrude on what he

imagined would be a long–overdue reunion.
After all, the two had only just reunited–Victor figured it was best to give them some private time.
However, Suzy’s response shattered his assumption. “I didn’t find him.”
“What do you mean you didn’t find him?” Victor’s chest tightened, his earlier relief replaced with tension. “Didn’t you say he was with that Maya Whitmore woman? And didn’t you already deal with her?”
“The man Maya was keeping locked up wasn’t Dylan.” Suzy pinched the bridge of her nose, her frustration palpable. “We were wrong from the start.”

“Are you sure?” Victor couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off. “What if Maya was just messing with you? If it was a mistake from the beginning, why was she so on guard against us?”
