“Yes,” Allen explained in detail. “The group that locked you up before weren’t Claude’s men. They were royal shadow guards from Xandria.
“To find out who was behind the attack on you, Suzy deliberately approached that man, Steven Pister, because his mother holds a high–ranking position in Xandria and has connections to the royal family. To further investigate the truth, she went to Xandria alone!”
Dylan’s breathing became erratic as he listened “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
“Suzy wouldn’t allow it,” Allen replied honestly. “You’ve done so much for her, but you kept it from her, didn’t you? So, she refused to let me tell you either. Besides, given your current condition, she wanted you to focus on your recovery.”
Knowing Suzy had gone to such lengths for him should have made Dylan feel happy. But the thought of her being alone in a foreign country dampened that feeling completely.
No matter how capable she was, being on someone else’s turf came with countless challenges.
Unable to stay put any longer, Dylan ordered Desmond, “Gather the team. We’re heading to Xandria!”
“Mr. Dylan…”
“Stop wasting time!” Dylan didn’t give him a chance to finish.
Understanding Dylan’s determination, Desmond knew there was no point in arguing. Suzy was in trouble, so there was no way Dylan would just sit at home.
Without delay, Desmond followed his orders, gathering their team and preparing a helicopter for immediate departure to Xandria.
If Dylan was going, there was no way Allen would stay behind.
Not only Allen, but Riley also joined the team.
Meanwhile, Suzy, sitting in the local police station, had no idea Dylan was on his way with reinforcements. She was still planning how to turn the situation in her favor and force the
mastermind to reveal themselves.

Suzy’s sharp eyes flickered with a hint of mischief as she put on an expression of submission. “Isn’t this all about making me work for you? Fine, I’m under your roof, so I have no choice but to bow my head. Tell your master 1 agree to his terms.”
Almost as soon as Suzy finished speaking, a policeman stepped forward and said, “A wise person knows when to adapt. If you’d done this earlier, things would’ve been much simpler.”
“Exactly, I should’ve realized sooner,” Suzy said with a cold smile. “Why should I risk everything for a former husband whose life or death means nothing to me? Why should I trap myself in this mess for someone like him?”
Her tone sharpened as she added, “So, bring your master here. I want to discuss this cooperation face–to–face.”
