Chapter 0471
“Not good, it’s probably that woman sending people after us again,” Dylan said as he scooped Suzy onto his lap and ordered Desmond, “Move!”
Desmond stood there, speechless.
“Show off your charm, but make me do all the work. You’re truly my great boss,” Desmond thought.
Without a word, Desmond started pushing them toward the exit, struggling under the weight.
As Dylan had predicted, the woman had indeed sent reinforcements.
A helicopter hovered over the rooftop, with a group of men in black perched on a hanging ladder, each armed with submachine guns.
Without hesitation, they opened fire, bullets raining down in all directions.
“Damn it, they’re trying to wipe us out and leave no trace behind!” Allen gritted his teeth. Boss, you go first. I’ll cover!”
“Cover what? We’re all leaving together!” Suzy snapped.
There was no way she’d leave Allen behind.
Riley had waited for him all these years, finally holding onto a glimmer of hope. If anything happened to Allen now, how would Riley survive?
But escaping under such relentless gunfire was easier said than done.
Suddenly, Suzy’s eyes sharpened. She leaped off Dylan’s lap without giving him a chance
to react.
With swift precision, she moved behind the helicopter and launched a fine thread from the watch on her wrist. The thread wrapped around the aircraft, and with a forceful tug, the helicopter wobbled violently.
One by one, the men in black lost their footing and fell from the ladder.
Dylan, Desmond, and Allen were speechless.
If they hadn’t seen it with their own eyes, none of them would have believed Suzy was capable of something so fearless and ferocious.
Even Allen, who had been by her side for years, was seeing this side of her for the first time.
He always knew their leader was formidable, but this… this was on another level.
Allen cast a glance at Dylan, thinking it was obvious he was enjoying the advantages of

having Suzy on his side.
Once they escaped the immediate danger, the group wasted no time in leaving the area.
In the car, Suzy brought up the topic again. “Dylan, I’m serious–you really can’t stay here…”
Before she could finish, Dylan cut her off abruptly. “Weren’t you planning to cut ties with me?”
“I’m doing this for Grandma and Diana. Don’t you understand how important you are to them?” Suzy frowned at him. “Grandma is getting older, and she really can’t handle any more turmoil. You need to go back, recover, and take care of your legs. That’s the only way to repay her for everything she’s done for you…
She didn’t even finish her sentence before Dylan silenced her with a kiss.
In the front seat, Desmond and Allen instantly flushed bright red.
