Chapter 0515
At three in the morning, the door to Dylan’s room creaked open, a narrow gap forming as someone carefully pushed it from the outside.
In the past, even the faintest noise–like the buzz of a mosquito–would have roused him.
But now…
On the bed, Dylan slept soundly, completely unaware of the intruder’s presence, even as they crept up to his bedside.
Staring down at the deeply sleeping figure, the intruder let out a cold laugh. “Dylan Wright, you should have died with your parents all those years ago. I never expected your luck to carry you through that tragedy, letting you live this long. But you won’t be around to see the sunrise tomorrow.”
With those words, the woman raised her gun, aiming directly at his forehead. Just as she prepared to pull the trigger, the room was suddenly flooded with bright light.
The abrupt glare overwhelmed her vision, forcing her to shield her eyes with her arm and turn her head away. It took several seconds before she dared to look again.
When she finally adjusted to the light, what she saw froze her in place. The figure on the bed wasn’t Dylan–it was Allen, expertly disguised as him.
“Helena,” Dylan’s voice came from behind her, calm but sharp. “So, you really are alive.”
Helena spun around, her expression darkening “You were prepared for this? So Suzy didn’t believe Serena after all!”
“Congratulations, you guessed it,” Allen said, his tone laced with mockery. “Too bad there’s no prize for being right.”
He smirked coldly. “Did you really think our boss was that easy to fool?
“One after another, you all think you’re clever enough to outsmart her. Pathetic. Your cheap tricks are laughable at best.”
Their boss, Suzy, had always been the one to outwit others. The idea that these amateurs
could deceive her was beyond ridiculous.
In all these years, only Charlotte and Claude had ever managed to outmaneuver Suzy. Everyone else had failed miserably.
Helena hadn’t expected her plan to fail, let alone fail so spectacularly and so quickly.
Serena had been so confident, claiming the game was more fun the more complicated it
got.
Well, it certainly was entertaining–for Suzy.

Chapter 0515
Watching Serena and Helena fumble through their poorly staged charade must have been a delightful spectacle for her.
And not just for her–Dylan likely found it just as amusing.
For the first time, Helena felt regret. She shouldn’t have come so early.
And to think, she had boldly claimed, “No time like the present.”
In hindsight, the timing really couldn’t have been worse.
