Just as Suzy lay down, chaos erupted. 

A thunderous roar echoed through the entire house, jolting her upright. She rushed out to Investigate and found Elliot storming out of his room, his eyes cold and wild like a furious.

“Elliot…” Suzy hurried to block his path. “Where are you going?” 

“Move!” Elliot’s voice was icy, his glare so menacing it was as if he didn’t even recognize her. 

“Are you feeling unwell?” Suzy asked, reaching out to grab his hand. “Let me check- 

Before she could touch him, he slapped her hand away and bolted down the hallway.

“Elliot, what are you doing?” Suzy darted forward and grabbed his arm. 

It was as if she wasn’t even there. He didn’t react to her voice or touch, continuing toward the water like a machine following a preset command. 

“Elliot!” Suzy called his name over and over, but there was no response. 

Out of options, she delivered a swift chop to the back of his neck, knocking him unconscious. 

Dragging his limp body back to the shore, she carefully checked his pulse. 

As expected, it was the venom wreaking havoc in his system. 

The sudden episode couldn’t have been grandom–there had to be a reason behind it. 

Suzy recalled her conversation with Simon earlier. It seemed clear now that they weren’t the only ones present at the time.
