Timothy pulled several small porcelain bottles from his pocket and handed them to Suzy in one go.
Suzy took them, her expression urgent, and quickly opened each one. “No, none of these! I already examined him earlier.
“He’s been poisoned with Red Spider Lily! It’s an incredibly lethal toxin. Without the antidote within 24 hours, it’s fatal!”
Hearing this, Timothy’s face grew even darker. “Aren’t you supposed to be a miracle doctor? Hurry up and find a way to detoxify him!”
Suzy let out a bitter laugh. “I may know a few things, but creating an antidote isn’t so simple! For starters, I’m not even clear on the exact components of the poison.
“Even if I knew, formulating an antidote would take time. There’s no way I can finish it within a day!”
“Then what do we do?” Timothy asked, panic overtaking him.
“We can’t just stand by and watch him die! He’s the only one who knows where Char is. If he dies, I may never see her again!”
Suzy’s expression turned cold and mocking. “You’re panicking now, but when you attacked him, did it even cross your mind that this might happen?”
“I…” Timothy furrowed his brows. “I don’t know what came over me. It felt like there was a voice in my head, urging me to attack him.”
“A voice in your head?” Suzy frowned deeply.
Was her father hypnotized?
Timothy nodded. “Yes! A voice kept saying that Dylan was behind everything and didn’t want me to reunite with Char. It said the only way to remove the obstacle was to kill Dylan!”
So, the target was Dylan all along? Was this because he stood in the way, or was there truly some connection between that woman and Charlotte?
