Diana thought that after saying all this, Elliot’s attitude might change.
However, to her surprise, the mockery in his eyes only deepened.
"So, according to you, I should be thanking her?" Elliot sneered.
"You don’t believe me?" Diana assumed he thought she was lying.
"Everything I said is true! The reason I came to find you was because Sis asked me to. She was worried about you, so she told me to stay with you!"
"Enough!" Elliot cut her off, unwilling to hear another word.
"Just now, you said you followed me because you were worried. And now you're saying Suzy sent you. Diana, do you even realize what you’re saying?
"You think saying this will make me let you follow me?"
Elliot flung her chin away, his grip loosening in an instant.
Diana stumbled back several steps, nearly falling to the ground, but he didn’t reach out to catch her.
Instead, his face twisted with disgust as he growled, "I'm warning you, don’t follow me again, or you’ll regret it!"
With that, Elliot turned and left.
Diana knew that if she followed him again, it would only make him angrier.
But she was truly worried about him, so she bit the bullet and continued trailing behind.
This time, though, she kept to the shadows, afraid he would notice.
She thought she was hiding well, but little did she know, Elliot had been aware of her presence all along.
He just didn’t care.
As long as she stayed out of his way, she could do whatever she wanted.
Diana followed him for a long distance, her feet aching unbearably, yet he showed no signs of stopping.
He seemed to be wandering aimlessly, never getting into a car, just walking continuously.
Hours passed without him eating or drinking.
