CEO Broke Down and Cried After I Divorced Him novel Chapter 803

A black box.

Anonymous delivery.

Just from those two details alone, it was clear—whatever was inside wasn’t going to be anything good.

It could be something dangerous.

Without hesitation, Suzy turned to Allen. "Push Dylan back. Get him out of the way."

Dylan, however, refused to budge. "Suzy, I’m a grown man. And you’re telling me to stand aside in the face of danger?"

"So what? Grown men can’t step back when necessary?" Suzy shot him a sharp look.

"I don’t care what other men do, but if you’re my man, you don’t rush into danger. You stay put.

If you don’t agree with that, then we can say goodbye right now."

Dylan’s brows furrowed. "You—"

"Enough talking!" Suzy snapped.

"Allen, get him as far away as possible!"

Allen had no choice but to follow orders.

He quickly wheeled Dylan to a safer distance and said, "Just stay put, man. I’ll check it out."

Ever since things had improved between Suzy and Dylan, Allen’s attitude toward Dylan had changed too.

It was obvious—even just from the way he addressed him now.

But before he could step forward, Suzy stopped him.

"Both of you, stay right where you are. Not one step closer—got it?"

Allen pointed at himself. "Boss, me too? I’ve got perfectly good eyes and a sharp nose. Of course, I should be here to deal with this with you!"

"Spare me the nonsense," Suzy shot back.

"You may have sharp eyes and a good nose, but you’re also about to be a father."

If there was something dangerous inside and things went south, how would she ever explain it to Riley?
