“I shouldn’t be saying all of these, right? I’m sorry.”
“No. You don’t need to be sorry about anything. Don’t ever feel guilty about expressing your feelings as long as you are not hurting anyone. It is okay for your heart to be with your man. It’s okay to miss him and to want to be with him every time.”
“I am sorry you all’s plans for tonight didn’t come true. But you said Jess promised he would be released tomorrow. I believe her and I can’t wait for you all to make up for tonight.”
“You always know what to say to me, thank you.”
“You’ve got nothing to thank me for. You are an amazing friend too. Vanessa is just a witch, trying to steal your joy. Please don’t give her the benefit of the doubt. This is just a phase. You will see your man again tomorrow.”
Hailey nodded. “I just wish she would disappear forever and let us be.”
“She will. We are definitely going to find a means to put her in her place. Wicked people don’t exist forever.”
“I wasn’t expecting you to go all out for Cole today, you know?”
“Cole and Jess said so. I’m surprised you are saying the same too.”
“You said you were never going to set your foot in that house again but you went there without thinking twice to put Vanessa in her place.”
“Then you went to see Cole from there.”
“You love him don’t you?”
Hailey parted her lips to say something but then got short of words.
Debbie smiled. “You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to. I stated that because I am proud of your bold decision. I know you care about Cole a lot. That is enough confirmation for me and I really want to see you all happy.”
“Thank you.”
“How did the boys take the news? They are in bed right?”
“Yes. They were sad about it but I took them for Ice cream, games, and shopping. I told them you and Cole had something urgent to take care
of.”
Hailey nodded. “Thank you again. Sorry, I am always disturbing you from your work.”
Hailey smiled. “Not an issue. My boss is very understanding.”
The Next Day.
Hailey groaned when she felt wet kisses all over her face, followed by soft giggles. She opened her eyes and came face to face with her sons. Despite having a headache due to lack of good sleep, she managed to go smile at her boys.
“Good morning, Mommy.” The twins said in unison.
Hailey slowly sat up and her boys instantly threw themselves at her, hugging her.

Chapter 71
Hailey returned the hug, placing a deep kiss on their foreheads.
“Where’s Daddy?” Enzo asked.
“Yes, Mommy. I want Daddy.” Ollie said.
“I miss him,” Enzo added.
Hailey smiled. Gone are those days when she would feel jealous that they were getting fond of Cole. But right now, it was more than that. She was glad they were bonding with their father.
“Daddy and I had some work to do yesterday so he couldn’t make it to your school but he will be here today.”
“Is there something you want him to bring for you so I can tell him?” Hailey asked her boys.
“Toys and Cookies.” Ollie smiled.
“I don’t want anything. I want Daddy to come play with me.” Enzo pouted.
“It’s fine, my love. Daddy misses you both too and you will see him today. Let’s go get you all ready for school.”
Hailey’s morning was filled with meetings at the office. She left in the afternoon and made her way to the station. She met Jessica and Moore. They spent a couple of hours trying to sort out all the necessary papers for Cole’s release.
“The worst 24 hours of my life,” Cole mumbled the moment all four of them exited the station, approaching their cars. He had Hailey’s hands intertwined with his. He was also in clean clothes. Thanks to the emergency clothes he always kept in the car.
“I am sorry you had to go through that. But I have partnered with some people, and we have started working on how we can put Vanessa in a place she deserves.”
“Even after all the evil she’s done to me, I don’t wish her death but i want her out of our lives forever.” Hailey voiced out.
“Leave her to me. I am going to take care of everything.” Jess assured.
Hailey nodded.
“I’m glad this is sorted. I hardly had any sleep last night.” Moore voiced out. It was evident in his facial expression that he was stressed.
“Well thank Goodness this nightmare is over. You all can go home and leave the rest to me.” Jess announced.
“Oh, I’m not going straight home. I am meeting Eric at the cafe, to give him a piece of my mind.”
“I respect your decision to do that but I see no point. It’s just a shame that he trusted Vanessa and Connie so much over everything he worked for. I’ve got no problem with her. I just want her to stay away from my family. A restraining order has been filed against her. I hope she complies.” Hailey said.
“I understand you, dear. But just leave it to me/ Moore assured.
“We need to get going. I really want a hug from my babies.” Cole said.
Jessica nodded. “No doubt it would make you feel better. Take care of yourself and I will give you a call if anything new comes up.”
They all exchanged húgs after which they all got into their vehicle, with Cole driving behind Hailey.

At about a hall past, they both pulled up in Hailey’s mandon Cole got down find and then waited for Halley. He kissed the side of her head and placed a hand on the small of her back, after which they both made their way towards the entrance
Hailey was with her key, She opened the door and they both made their way in. She was about to shut the door when she heard tim footsteps, hitting the floor loudly. She smiled wing what that was
“Daddy”
Cole smiled, crouching in time to pull them both in a joint hug
A proud smile crept to Hailey’s lips as she watched her boys.
“Where did you go, Daddy? I was waiting for you. I missed you.” Enzo pouted, pulling away from the hug
“I missed you too, Daddy” Ollie pulled away from the hug
“I’m sorry, my loves. Something came up and I couldn’t make it yesterday. I am really sorry, I didn’t mean to break your hearts. But don’t worry, I will make it up to you both.”
“I’m here now and we can play together, I will read your bedtime story if you want.
“Your mommy said you all wanted cookies and new toys? I ordered it already and it will be delivered shortly” Cole explained. In as much as he would have loved to buy the items in person, he knew that was really risky since the news about Vanessa’s accusation hadn’t died down
“Thank you, Daddy.” Ollie smiled, jamming himself against Cole and hugging him.
“Enzo?!” Cole called out to him with pleading eyes.
The little boy pouted, with his tiny arms folded.
