“I left my phone in the kitchen.” 

“Do you want it now? Or do you want to wait till you are a bit calm?” 

“I know it sucks to make decisions in the heat of the moment but I don’t think everything about Vanessa is worth thinking twice.” 

“It still baffles me how she has managed to remain confident over the years, knowing she has been a source of sorrow to a lot of people. 

Debbie shrugged. “That’s how evil people are. They’ve got no heart so they don’t feel anything when they hurt people. They don’t care as long as they get what they want.” 

Hailey sniffled, trying so hard to stop herself from crying but she had no idea why she was finding it difficult. 

“It’s okay, babe. Please don’t cry anymore. You are under the weather already and I don’t want your sickness to get worse. I also don’t want Ollie and Enzo to come see you this way.” 

“I’m trying not to. But the tears won’t stop coming. I don’t know if it’s the hormones or the fact that Vanessa brought my innocent mother as part of her schemes. I would honestly overlook every attack from her not because I am stupid or I don’t know how to fight for myself but because I have always known that she is a bitter person so her actions don’t move me but she honestly got me this time.” 

“I was sad when she pulled a stunt on Cole. Sad and furious but with this, I feel so much pain; as though I have been stabbed in my back. I remember seeing one comment wishing me dead.” Hailes pointed at herself.” 

“Humans are cruel. Very cruel.” 

“Now I wish I didn’t show you the post.”

“I would know regardless. If we switched on the TV, I’m sure this is what will be trending on gossip news. I am not at work but I’m sure my staff would be aware of this. The whole word even. This is definitely going to affect my kids too. Parents could start telling their wards to not be friends with the twins.”

“I gave the boys some healthy snacks so they would get occupied,” Debbie said, taking a seat beside Hailey. She unlocked her phone with her face ID and handed the device to Hailes. 

“What do you have in mind?” 

“To send a four man gang over to her place who will beat the shit out of her, then hand her over to the police” 

“I wish she wasn’t pregnant,” Hailey added. 

“Yeah, She’s with child. So that makes it so hard to personally deal with her.” 

Halley turned her glance away from Debbie and then turned her attention to her phone. She went to the call log and began to punch in some digits. She dialed the number and placed the phone on speaker, in between herself and Debbie. 

Debbie wasn’t surprised that Halley was dialing a number offhand. She knew numbers were her thing. Hailes could recite the phone numbers of people really close to her even in their sleep. 

“Hello, Ludacris Jenrol speaking” The deep masculine voice came through.

Chapter 85 

Hailey heaved a deep sigh, hoping no one would detect she had been crying. “Hi Cris, it’s Halley.” 

“Hailey, I called you already. Felt you were busy so I left you a text.” 

“Yeah, my phone is somewhere I don’t know,” Hailey mumbled, massaging her temple with her free hand while holding onto the phone with 

her other hand. 

“I guess you’ve seen or heard what happened.” 

“Yes, And I’m so sorry about that. I didn’t want to take any decision without consulting you first. Do you want us to go the civil way or 

criminal?” 

“Can we do both?” Hailey asked. 

“Sure! We can claim damages for defamation–civil claims and then bring an action under criminal claims so she gets sentenced for her 

actions. 

“Good, I want her to be in jail for a very long time and I’m going to be demanding 500 billion dollars as damages.” 

Debbie’s eyes went wide. 

“I think 500 billion is small though. I was thinking 700 to 800 billion. Her lawyers are going to want to try to bargain so we need to raise the bar very high.” 

“Okay, 500 billion for general damages, and the remaining 300 can go for specific damages which is to be paid immediately.” Hailey said. 

“I don’t know how you are going to do it Cris but I want her behind bars. If not forever, then for a very long time.” 

“I didn’t do anything when she made accusations against Cole because I 

anymore.” 

I was considering the baby she is carrying. But I can’t stand her
