Chapter 820 Idiot 

Originally, Emrys had no intention of dealing with this fool, but hearing his incessant chatter, he raised an eyebrow in surprise and asked, “Where did this idiot spring from? Why does he keep talking to himself?” 

Suppressing her laughter, Hollie said, “Isn’t he the same foo- I mean, the same guy who was competing with you in a test of courage?” 

How could she not pick up on the hidden meaning in Emrys‘ words? She eagerly played along with Emrys, almost blurting out the term “idiot” as well. 

Upon realizing that Cameron was, after all, a member of the Stewart family, and someone she would inevitably encounter frequently in the future, Hollie felt the need to leave him a little dignity. Consequently, she quickly changed her tune. 

Emrys feigned surprise as he stared at Cameron for a moment before allowing an enlightened look to appear on his face. “Oh, it’s that idiot who, begged me to spare his dignity, incessantly calling me ‘Grandpa‘ and trying to make our contest appear as a draw. Nice to meet you!” 

A twitch tugged at the corner of Cameron’s mouth, irritation lacing his words as he retorted, “You’re full of cr*p! When did I ever call you Grandpa?” 

Emrys shrugged his shoulders. “All right, all right. If you say you didn’t, then you didn’t. I must have remembered it wrong.” 

“That’s something that never happened in the first place!” 

Cameron’s nose was scrunched in fury. 

If Emrys had chosen to argue with him, his persuasion might not have been so effective. However, it was Emrys‘ display of exasperated compromise that left Cameron feeling powerless. 

Upon seeing the situation, Hollie cast a sidelong glance at Cameron, deliberately displaying a look of disdain. “Cameron, I never thought you’d be this kind of person, willing to sacrifice your dignity just for the sake of appearances.” 

She had always found Cameron quite bothersome, and these past few days, he had been pestering her even more. He wanted her to play the role of a mediator, even going so far as to involve their elders. He claimed that if the Stewart and Morris families could unite through marriage, it would only be beneficial to both their families.

Even Hollie was taken aback, realizing she had taken the joke too far. She quickly explained, “Cameron, we were just joking with you carlier…” 

“Joking, my ass!” Cameron was clearly infuriated. He rudely interrupted Hollie, glaring at Emrys as he spat out, “You worthless piece of trash, do you dare to challenge me?”

Everyone knew that Cameron was referring to a martial arts duel this time, not some test of courage. 

“Are you sure?‘ 

A playful smirk suddenly appeared at the corner of Emrys‘ mouth. With a sudden leap, he closed the distance to Cameron in an instant. Without hesitation, he raised his hand and delivered a resounding slap. 

“Idiot, you thought you had it all figured out, didn’t you?” 

Emrys strode forward, not giving Cameron a chance to react. With a resounding slap, he sent the latter spinning like a top, twirling twice. Cameron staggered, nearly toppling over.
