Savannah's POV

Delaney stood there with a crying face. Her eyes were teary while her cheeks were red. Her hair was quite messy. Because she has a good skin tone which made her get advantages when she was acting all pitiful. Anyone who will look at her will feel remorse inside mixed with guilt. She took two steps forward then her body suddenly trembled.

"You have returned," she said in her soft tone. I raised my eyebrows. She was saying like this if Hardwick had come from a long war. Even the beloved wife in the novel doesn't cry like this. What is she trying to do now?

"You are still here?" Hardwick clenched his jaw tightly.

"Why are you so angry? I know I have done everything wrong but it has already been so many years. I have done everything you wanted and endured all the sufferings in the East Side for you. Can't you just let it go?" Delaney said with her trembling lips.

"Let go?" Hardwick laughed "you still have that courage to ask me that?"

"Hardwick-"

"It's Alpha for you" Hardwick roared, making Delaney jump in shock. I was startled by his sudden roar.

"Al-Alpha, I will do everything you say but please don't stay angry with me. I can't stand your ignorance" Delaney cried out.

"Since you are so willing to do anything then get lost and never show your face to me" Hardwick snapped.

Delaney gasped "no, no, no, please don't say like that. I have been dreaming of being reunited with you all these years. Even the elders in the East pitied me when they saw how much I love you. As a stranger they can feel my affection then why can't you?"

I looked at her then my gaze fell on my mate who was looking at Delaney without blinking his eyes. My heart suddenly twisted. I bit my lips refraining myself from lashing out.

"I have loved you for many years even though I know you never had the same affection for me. I loved you so crazily. I can do anything for you. But you can't see my feelings why?" Delaney continued to speak. With every point she was making it look reasonable.

Delaney looked at me then her eyes turned dark and gloomy "because she is your mate?" She suddenly raised her hand and pointed her fingers towards me. "Just because she was the one chosen by the moon goddess you are ignoring me isn't it? What does she have that I don't? Don't I look beautiful? Don't I know how to fight? Is it because of her pack that is backing her up? Is that why you are giving more attention to her?"

"More?" Hardwick's laughter roared around us "there is no more Delaney because I have never gave you any attention to raise the question with 'more' at all"

Delaney looked angrily at me. Her eyes watered as the tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks. She bit her lips then lashed out "it's all because of you. I would have become the only woman and mistress of this pack if you were not here. You have taken my position, my mate and my pack. Why do you exist in this world? It's all because of you. It's all because of you" Delaney started to shout like a madwoman.

"How dare you?" Hardwick growled as he glared at her hard "how dare you accuse my mate you bitch?"

Delaney's eyes widened in shock. Did he just cursed her before everyone? I looked at him shocked.

"How-how could you call me like that?" Delaney shattered as her body trembled.

"Aren't you the one?" Hardwick growled angrily. "Because of your cheap act there was a huge conflict in the past. Even if you know that I don't have any interest in you, you still went for using dirty means. You even stepped so low to use your own body. Now you are accusing my mate? Who gave you that right? Since you are so addicted to losing your life, then I as your Alpha can definitely grant you the wish as you desire" he shouted as he was about to step forward I held his arm in tight grip.

Hardwick is really angry but killing Delaney is not a solution. Delaney made a huge scene in the past and now she is intervening in our lives again. The only motive she had was to ruin us with her. Hardwick turned towards me with a sharp glare. His eyes were blazing and I could clearly see Only trying to take over him.

"What the hell are you doing? " He growled.

"What are you doing? "

"I am going to kill her as she wants it so much then it's my duty as Alpha to fulfill it" he hissed.

"No you are not" I shook my head. Though my heart is beating loudly and his piercing gaze making me nervous and scared at the same time but I will never let my mate do something which may bring chaos later.

"Why not? No one gave her the right to insult you in front of me. I will fucking end whoever tries that"

"You need to calm down please. Killing her won't solve anything yet it will rise more problem" I tried my best to reason out.

"I don't care" He pushed my hand harshly and about to step towards Delaney who was trembling.

"But I care," I said loudly, making him stop on his track. "Even if you don't care about yourself, I care. I can't watch you going to commit sin. I.... I don't want to be part with you"

As expected he looked back at me. His blazing eyes softened as some different kind of emotion flashed in his dominating orbs.

"You bitch how dare you seduce the Alpha in front of me? You are such a slut who goes around whori-" Delaney's loud scream stopped in the middle when the 'pa' sound echoed in the air. Her body fell on the ground heavily and she puked a mouthful of blood on the ground. Her lips become bloody.

"I dare you to say again" Hardwick roared as he glared at the woman on the ground. "I have tolerated your action in the past thinking it's your infatuation that caused you to be muddle-headed at a young age. I thought after taking the punishment in the East you will understand the fact that whatever you have was all created by your mind and there's nothing between us. But no, you couldn't change yourself, not even a bit"

"I.....I....." Delaney cried and her son became hard.

"Delaney" another voice rang as Daisy's figure showed up. She squatted down towards Delaney and helped her from the ground.

"Master, please forgive my sister. She was a little excited seeing you after so many years. She just couldn't control her emotions" Daisy said, defending her sister.

"Couldn't control emotions?" Hardwick snorted angrily "looks like your sister forgot how to behave and respect others. She really need to learn so many things"

"Master, my sister is vulnerable, please show some mercy. She just adores you from the start and always has been thinking about you. My sister has grown up with you in the same pack. For the sake of past affection please don't hurt her" Daisy requested again. Her eyes were teary and her face was pleading.

"Your sister only knows how to ruin others when she can't get what she desires. She has a wicked mind and heart that will never change no matter where she goes" Hardwick said with an unpleasant tone.

Daisy lowered her head but didn't retort again while Delaney suddenly screamed "My heart is not wicked. I just want you to see me as a woman to love me and care for me. What's wrong with that?"

"What's wrong?" Hardwick growled "The wrong is that you have high expectations from the things you can't get. The wrong is where you are dreaming about something that will never happen. The wrong is where you are so infatuated that you lose your sanity to think. The wrong is where you can't decide whether it's true or false even after knowing the situation. The wrong is where you insulted my mate who is innocent in this matter. You just couldn't wait to drag down everyone isn't it even though you have to pay your life in the process"

Delaney and Daisy looked so shocked that they couldn't utter a single word.

"I have had enough of this" Hardwick glared at the both sisters "send Delaney back to the East Side but this time she will be going to shut herself in Golden cage and will not come out without my permission"

The people who were present here all gasped loudly. I looked at them frowning. I really don't have any idea about Hardwick's punishment but one thing is clear that it's not a good choice either.

"No, you can't do that to me" Delaney shook her head vigorously. Looks like she is not believing what she just heard.

"I can do anything since you craved it" Hardwick replied, then turned around and grabbed my hand before pulling me with him.

"You can't do that. What wrong have I done for you to treat me like that? How could you be so heartless Alpha? You are so cold blooded" Delaney was screaming behind us. Two guards showed up and dragged her away. No one gave any heed to her shouts and screams.

"What kind of punishment did you give her?" I asked as soon as he pulled me into our room.
