“Bah! Shameless man! You liar!” Viola glared at him, patted off the dust on her clothes, opened the door and left.
Steven watched her leave with a subtle smile on his lips.
There was a long way to go, little fox.
But Viola’s words reminded him. He had noticed that Mike had been stealing glances at him from time to time nervously when he was in the cafe.
However, Steven did not think he knew Mike.
It was obvious that Mike knew him.
Or, the man behind Mike knew him.
Steven made a call, “Check something for me.”
.....................
As soon as Viola came back to the Shaws Group, Sucy ran into the office. After slamming the door shut, she reported breathlessly:
“President Sutton, you are finally back, you have to see this.”
Sucy hurried to pass her the tablet, the hot search list of the Facebook interface --
The first was still about the Sutton Group's fake skin care products.
The second was the chaos at Eric and Janet’s engagement ceremony.
The third was the fact that a celebrity got divorced suddenly turned into that Viola, the firstborn daughter of the Sutton family suspected to be raised by the rich and messed around with many rich men in a luxurious house in Hayan City.
Viola rubbed the middle of her eyebrows, trying to calm down. Indifferently looking at the harsh words on the screen, she murmured, “Oh well, they finally dug it out. It is not that stupid. Since it does not involve the Shaws Group, leave it alone, it is not real anyway.”
“According to the informer we arranged in the Sutton Group, Janet suspected that you did it after she failed to remove the news from the trending feed, and she inquire your identity.” Sucy’s cute face emerged faint worry.
Viola lay down on the chair and seemed not to care about it. “Never mind,” she said casually. “They can't find out what Mr. Shaws did.”
Viola looked up with a crafty smile at Sucy, “Which company has the Shaws Group offended in recent half a year?”
Sucy's heart was drumming. It was certainly no good since Viola gave that smile.
