Edward quivered hearing his brother’s words. He took a secret look at his elder brother, who happened to look toward him coldly. Subconsciously he retreated half step and got goose bumps on the back of his head.

Charles, different from his two younger brothers, handled the company affairs since his childhood. All people who conspired against the Chambers Group would have been killed or muzzled by him, which included Edward.

The Chambers Group had long been in the hands of Charles since Maddox's withdrawal to the present.

So all things in the family were decided by Charles besides Maddox.

Edward just wanted to take his son away quickly. He said, “Yes, brother, you are right. It is my poor parenting that has caused so much trouble. I will teach Eric a lesson when we get home.”

“Go! Apologize!” Edward twisted his eyebrows and pushed Eric.

Eric was speechless. He was afraid of Charles, though he was unwilling to, he had to apologize to everyone.

“We are family and you are the youngest. I made a move because I was nervous, I will forgive you.” Steven exhaled like a sigh of relief and patted Eric's shoulder with kindness.

Eric had got beaten and could not vent his anger out, so he gritted his teeth hard. Wearing a fake smile, he said a few words and was taken away by his father.

After the two men left, Maddox closed his eyes slightly and muttered, “Steven, I'm going to take your being the paramour of that girl as a whim. It's up to you whatever you want to do with the woman you like. But she is the vice president of the Shaws Group. Do you know what that means?”

Steven knew this was the secret of the family, and it was Charles and Maddox's taboo. They were afraid that he would collude with others to ruin the Chambers’ Group. Unfortunately, he really wanted to do so.
