Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1202

"I'll have my team at the company handle this recording, and then send it over to you. From there, you can post it on Twitter. Daisy, I'm warning you now. Once that recording goes public, it's game over for Peter and Antonia. I can help you, but I can't save them. Don't come to me in tears, begging me to clear Peter's name at that time, because I can't."

Daisy scoffed, her eyes welling up with tears.

"Ms. Pennyfeather, I'm good for my word. Just make sure you keep yours."

Maja nodded, promptly sending the recording over to her team. She then turned her attention back to Daisy.

"My PR team will provide you with a script. It'll detail your relationship with Peter and Antonia. It'll highlight your naivety, Peter's level-headedness, and how everything began with a drunken indiscretion. We'll frame you as a love-struck actress. Are you okay with that?"

"Yes.”

"There's something else you need to understand. Regardless of how love-struck you are, you've interfered with someone else's marriage. You won't be the leading lady anymore; that's a moral stain that many won't accept. I can assure you that you'll always be able to act. You can have the supporting roles and won't be out of work. You're a decent actress, with some fine-tuning, you could be great."

Daisy cast her eyes downwards, filled with sorrow, "I get it. Leading roles are not for me anymore."

Maja's team was quick. As soon as she got back to the office, they had the script and the edited recording ready to send to Daisy.

Daisy was more resolute than Maja had anticipated. She said she would post it on Twitter in ten minutes.

Maja sat back and watched the time.

Meanwhile, Antonia couldn't help herself. She was venting to her relatives about Maja.

"Right, right, right, Shawn's boss. You know who Shawn is right? The actor I single-handedly bogged down. Look at how many people are cursing him online now. Serves him right. Maja came crawling to me, begging. It was hilarious."

"I should have recorded it for you all to see. She thought she could manipulate me. I was just using her. I wanted to show her that even though I'm a stay-at-home wife now, I can still make them dance to my tune."

"Exactly, Daisy came to see me today. I gave her a good telling off. She's just like Maja, a cheap woman looking for trouble. They thought I was an easy target."

She pursed her lips dismissively, looking over at her quiet daughter. Suddenly, she felt a pang of irritation and kicked her away.

"Get away from me, you mute, you idiot. If you were of any use, your dad wouldn't be chasing after other woman."

Just as Antonia was about to continue her rant, the person on the phone interrupted her.
