Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 2130

Athena was bustling around the kitchen, whipping up a five-course meal.

“So, how’s the taste? Do you like it?” she asked, a hint of pride in her voice.

Tyler, never one to mince words, replied, “I love it.”

He was genuinely surprised by how good her cooking was; it was nothing short of impressive.

Athena walked over to him, leaned down, and planted a quick kiss on his lips. “Well, eat up then. I can whip up different dishes every day, and I promise you’ll love them all.”

Her happiness at his approval was palpable, and she sat across from him, chin in hand, watching him eat with a contented smile.

For a fleeting moment, Tyler felt as if they were a married couple, sharing dinner at home.

Once he had eaten his fill, he realized Athena hadn’t touched her utensils.

As he was about to leave, he noticed Athena still wearing her apron, adjusting his tie.

“I’ll have dinner ready for you tonight. If you’re not coming back, just let me know,” she said.

Tyler nodded absently, not really taking her words to heart. He appreciated her cooking, sure, but at his core, he was still the same old player.

After leaving, he went to meet Bert Frost, another writer he often collaborated with on scripts. In their world, male writers were a rare breed, but Tyler and Bert were more drinking buddies than anything else. Tyler’s scripts were mainstream melodrama, whereas Bert’s work had depth, yet they enjoyed each other’s company over a pint.

Once seated, Bert ordered some food. Having tasted Athena’s cooking, Tyler found himself indifferent to restaurant fare.

Bert leaned back, a knowing grin on his face. “I heard you’ve got a new girl in your life. It’s not Anna, is it? That drama queen? Your taste is really going downhill, Tyler.”
