He pursed his lips and pressed the answer button with his uninjured hand. When he was thinking about how to speak, Holden’s words of comfort came from the other end of the phone. “Ian, you did a great job this time, you’ve really grown up. If you can’t make it tonight, forget it. I won’t blame you this time.” 

lan squinted his eyes, puzzled by why he would say something like that. 

Every time his grandpa called him before, they always ended up talking about Maja, but tonight, his grandpa didn’t seem to have that plan. 

Was it because of the big acquisition deal he just closed?
