Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1235

News of Ian's promise to forfeit his shares in the Raymond Corporation spread like wildfire.

The gossip within the industry was wilder than ever.

But for Maja, time seemed to have stopped. She was oblivious to the outside world, relying only on the snippets of information brought in by the man known as "Mr. K".

From these snippets, she pieced together Ian's recent life.

Today, Mr. K arrived again. Maja was blind, but her hearing had become sharper.

His footstep was unique, carrying a sense of calmness and composure.

The room where she stayed always had a soothing aroma, not unpleasant.

The man helped her sit by the window. The wind that blew from the outside stirred her hair. His fingers wanted to tuck a few strands behind her ear, but they paused when they nearly touched her warm cheek, then casually retreated.

"Yesterday, word came from the industry that Ian promised Eric that he would give up all his shares in the Raymond Corporation if Eric could bring you to him. Do you think it's fair to the high-ranking executives who fought alongside him? A man acting on impulse is not worth entrusting one's life to."

Maja had been composed these past few days, but upon hearing this, her face changed instantly.

She even stood up, her chest heaving.

"He can't do this. I don't want Ian to."

The man slightly raised an eyebrow, a smirk appearing on his lips as he watched her.

"If he renounces his position as CEO of the Raymond Corporation, who knows if he'll even make it out of Greenfield alive? After all, the Raymond family doesn't care much about him, and there are many out there waiting to pounce. You going back to him at this time would only burden him, wouldn't it?"

Maja's mind was in a whirl. She tried to calm herself, knowing that this man must have ulterior motives for saying such things, and she couldn't let him lead her by the nose.

But her eyes welled up and her lip quivered, because she knew Ian too well.

He had never tried to hold on to anything. So when he really wanted to keep something, he would fight for it even if it meant bleeding from his palms.

Ian wasn't wrong. He did have a temper, but he was always more genuine than others when it came to emotions.

Others would weigh the pros and cons of their affections, thinking whether it was worth it or not.
