Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 1501

As Maja Pennyfeather felt someone touching her, anger knitted her brows.

But she couldn't move; Patrick had administered some injection into her at some point, and while she was acutely aware of her surroundings, her body refused to respond.

Quentin Gellar leaned in, "Ms. Pennyfeather, you're about to marry Patrick. Did you know?"

A flicker of shock crossed Maja's eyes.

Had Patrick lost his mind? She was pregnant, and he wanted to marry her now?!

Who was this person, and where had he gotten his information?

She blinked furiously, attempting to speak, but no words came out.

Quentin noticed her state, his forehead creased with concern. He was no medical genius and had no clue what had befallen her.

"Do you want to marry him? If not, blink once."

Maja blinked over twenty times, her cheeks flushed with indignation.

Yet, she had a nagging premonition that Patrick was resolute in his goal, and no one knew what he was up to—it certainly wasn’t anything good.

Quentin, getting the message, nodded and left the room.

Timothy Bradshaw stood outside the door, with a smile gracing his face.

"Elder, you've arrived at quite the opportune moment to raise a toast for celebration."

Quentin felt an inexplicable surge of irritation. If it were any other woman, he would have stayed out of it, but why did it have to be Maja?

Ignoring Timothy, he retreated to his own room.

Sitting in his chair, he heard noises from outside. It seemed the Bradshaw family’s servants were already preparing for the wedding.

Patrick really couldn't wait, could he?

Quentin was curious about what Ian Raymond would do tonight, and whether he would guess right that Patrick’s bride-to-be was Maja.

Feeling restless, he decided to hit the sack early.

In the dead of night, his contact brought news that more of K's people had shown up.

He still didn't want to get involved, even though his instincts told him he should pull out immediately.

Quentin sat up on the edge of his bed; as he was about to reply to the message, he heard some faint footsteps outside.
