What a coincidence. 

This was seriously a huge coincidence. 

The coincidence shocked Maja a little. 

Looked like she’d be bumping into Ryan a lot from now on. 

And Ryan was lan’s younger brother. 

Ryan seemed equally surprised, just strolling in. 

“Penny, you lived here?” 

Maja nodded, with a smile on her face, “Ryan, you brought your girlfriend over?” 

Ryan, unabashed, wrapped his arm around the girl’s waist, planting a kiss on her cheek. 

“Yes, seems like we’re going to be neighbors” 

Maja carried on with her cleaning, not exactly thrilled about being neighbors with Ryan’s girlfriend, not to mention Ryan’s mom mistook her for Ryan’s girlfriend. 

Now that his real girlfriend was standing right there, Maja worried about the day when Ms. Raymond would come knocking, which was bound to stir up trouble. 

But then again, Ms. Raymond probably wouldn’t be showing up here. 

After all, Ryan has always been generous, buying houses for his girlfriend wasn’t something he did once or twice. If Ms. Raymond really wanted to investigate, she probably wouldn’t know where to start. 

With that in mind, Maja felt relieved. 

Seeing her cleaning alone, Ryan asked. 

“Where’s your husband? I remember that this house wasn’t sold before, you must have just bought it recently, right? Just moved in with your husband?” 

Maja felt a pang of anxiety, her head starting to throb. 

Yes, she just moved in today, but the house across had been sold a while ago, it was Ryan who bought it first. 

Even if Maja wanted to lie and say she bought it a long time ago, that lie was too clumsy. So how was she going to explain the husband situation? 

The girl standing next to Ryan, holding his arm, had been hostile to Maja from the start, because this woman seemed to know- Ryan well. 

Every woman who was familiar with Ryan was always an ex–girlfriend. 

She was instantly on guard, but hearing Ryan’s words, her guard dropped. Turns out she really was Ryan’s friend. 

She breathed a sigh of relief, extending her hand with a smile. 

“Hello, I’m Rita. I think I’ve seen you somewhere before?” 

Maja did feel a sense of familiarity when she saw Rita’s face. 

Until Rita’s eyes light up. “Oh, you’re Mr. Raymond’s designer! I work at the front desk of the Raymond Corporation. I saw you when you first came to the Raymond Corporation, but it wasn’t me who attended to you, it was my colleague. You’re very beautiful, I remember your face.” 

So she was from the front desk of the Raymond Corporation. 

Maja fell silent, feeling like she couldn’t escape the world of the Raymond family no matter what. 

She felt rather helpless, but still politely shook hands. 

“Hello, I am indeed Mr. Raymond’s designer.”
