Chapter 192
“Ms. Raymond, I can explain the situation.”
But Maureen simply whipped out her phone and dialed Holden’s number.
“Dad, can you give me Mrs. lar’s number? I need to reach her right now.”
She had never met lan’s wife, but Holden had spoken highly of her, so she figured she must be a decent woman.
Now that someone was openly bothering lan, his wife should step in.
Besides, lan had allowed Maja to wait in his office, indicating that he cared for her.
It was high time someone gave lan a reality check. He was a married man, and if this mess reached Holden, the rest of the Raymond family might do something regrettable.
If lan hadn’t admitted to losing control once, Maureen would never believe he was capable of such behavior.
And let’s be real, if he was going to lose control, it should’ve been with Carlene.
Holden had no clue what was going on. No one from the Raymond family had ever asked for Maja’s number, nor had Maureen inquired about it.
But now she was suddenly demanding it. Was there trouble in paradise for lan?
Was he having an affair?
Holden squinted his eyes. He’d seen enough drama to guess a few possibilities.
“Did lan have an affair outside?” Maureen was taken aback. She hadn’t expected such a quick response from Holden and didn’t know what to say.
Her hesitation confirmed Holden’s suspicions that lan was indeed having an affair.
Maureen knew what kind of fallout lan would face if found out, and she wanted to warn him through Maja.
But this wasn’t something Maja needed to handle.
Holden got super pissed and slammed the table.
“Get lan back here now! I don’t care what he’s doing! I want to see him in the next half an hour!”
Maureen was slightly regretful. If she had known Holden’s reaction would be this swift, she wouldn’t have made the call.
But since she had started it and Holden was now all fired up, she had to bring lan back.
She stood up, didn’t even glance at Maja, and walked out of the office to the conference room.
The meeting was abruptly halted, and upon hearing that Holden wanted him, lan frowned and quickly returned to his office.
When he saw Maja, he seemed to know why she was there.
“If it’s urgent, wait for me at my hotel tonight.”
He wasn’t yet aware of why Holden had summoned him, so he might not be able to return to the office tonight.
His words were a mere statement, but it made Maureen feel quite uncomfortable when she heard it from the doorway. Initially, she thought Holden was overreacting, but now she felt that Holden did need to give lan a good dressing down. Maja was still clueless about what was going on. When she left the office, she saw lan–and Maureen had already taken the private elevator down.

Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
