Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 255

Chapter 255

There was a small lump on the bed, and all you could see was the soft hair poking out.

The bedside lamp was on, casting a warm glow on the bed.

lan didn’t just barge in, and knocked twice on the door. When here was no res

“Penny?”

The layout of the room was the same as his, just with different decor. He fig probably due to the sudden brightness

from inside, he went in

on the lights in the room, and saw Majar’s forehead crease

lan wanted to touch her forehead, but before his hand could reach her, Majs opened her eyes. Her face was still pale, but she seemed in better spirits. When she saw the man by the bedside, surprise flashed through her eyes

“Mr. Raymond?”

lan retracted his hand, calmly placing it at the side of his dress pants

“Are you sick?”

Maja had a fever the night at Crystalbrook Valley. Today her period pains were quite severe. She had taken three pills at noon without considering that it would upset her stomach. When she woke up, all she felt was unbearable pain in her stomach, as if all her organs were being twisted together.

She quickly sat up, her hand on her stomach, her face even paler. She tried to get out of bed, but her legs gave out, and she fell

lan reached out and caught her. But she had taken a bath before bed and was wearing a strappy nightgown. His fingertips inevitably touched her bare skin. Upon closer look, her exposed skin was glossy and smooth to the touch

lan was wearing a thin shirt, specifically changed into before coming over. His figure was lean and straight. As he leaned slightly to catch her a sturdy wristbone was revealed.

After being helped up by him, Maja breathed a sigh of relief, quickly straightening up. When she realized she was still holding his hand, she immediately took a step back

Just then, it occurred to her. Why was lan in her bedroom?

“The front desk came knocking, there was no answer. So I called you and asked for a spare room key.”

His tone was steady, pointing towards the outside.

“You should eat something.”

Relieved, Maja quickly went out. She hadn’t eaten all day, and her stomach was growling. Sitting on the sofa, she grabbed some food from the dining cart. Only after downing half a bowl of soup, she started to feel a bit better.

Looking up, she saw lan standing by the single-seater sofa, his eyes bright like a night lake. His shirt sleeves were rolled up, and he was now sitting on the single-seater sofa

Feeling a bit awkward, Maja quickly asked, “Mr. Raymond, would you like to eat?”

The front desk had prepared a lot of food. She thought it was the staff knowing that she was sick and specially sending it over, considering the hotel was very good and also quite expensive.

Moreover, this was a hotel of the Raymond Group, so the service was excellent.

“Penny”

lan spoke calmly, his gaze landing on her. His eyes were quite unique, slightly elongated, sharp at the comers. When he wasn’t smiling, he appeared cold, giving off a ruthless vibe.

Maja guessed that he had something important to discuss, probably about Greenfield Gardens. No wonder he was here, she had already told him, any issues could be discussed at any time.

“Mr. Raymond, is there something you need?”

If he wanted to change materials or add additional details, everything could be discussed.

lan, however, just averted his gaze and stood up. “You should rest well after you’ve eaten.”
