“All right, once lan Raymond’s meeting wraps up, I’ll swing by your place with him.” 

Carlene Shepard hung up the phone with a smug look in her eyes. 

Outside, Jeff didn’t stop her from using her phone. If all went according to plan, Mr. Raymond’s future wife would likely be Carlene. 

If Mr. Raymond didn’t mind, then as his assistant, he certainly didn’t need to get involved. 

Once Carlene left the office, she headed straight to find Rita. 

Rita was busily making coffee, her eyes filled with anticipation as Carlene walked in. 

Once Carlene confirmed they were alone, she asked, “You said that you saw lan with Penny downstairs?” 

Rita’s hand shook with surprise at the question. 

Carlene’s sharp gaze landed on her. “You must know, I’m the future mistress of the Raymond Corporation. One word from me to lan, and your job could be gone.” 

Rita immediately put down the coffee maker, clutching her clothes in anxiety. “Ms. Shepard, I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you everything I know. Please don’t get me fired.” 

Carlene chuckled coldly, “Then spill; what were lan and Penny up to?” 

“I live on the same floor as Penny. One day, I saw Mr. Raymond leaving her place, which was pretty late. I was shocked.” Carlene’s face darkened. It was unlike lan to visit a woman’s place randomly. He had never even been to hers. 

Every time he dropped her off, it was always at the door. He kept a reasonable distance from women. 

“Do you know what happens if you lie to me?” 

Rita was on the verge of tears, “Ms. Shepard, I swear I’m not lying; I saw Mr. Raymond coming out of Penny’s place. Because I’m dating Mr. Raymond’s cousin, I often see Penny. She’s married but pretends to be Ryan Elston’s girlfriend in front of his mom. She has bullied me and is now tangled up with some shady KTV. I think she might be taking classes on how to seduce men.” 

“I remember now; she has a portrait of Mr. Raymond in her place! She drew it herself.” 

Carlene’s face turned even grimmer. Could the hair that appeared in lan’s room be from this designer? 

But she’s married, right? 

Feeling she had told Carlene everything, Rita gave a small smile. 

“Ms. Shepard, please don’t tell Mr. Raymond about this. I really don’t want any trouble.” 

Carlene looked impatient. How could Ryan be interested in her? 

“You can go; I won’t tell l’an; focus on your work.” 

Rita nodded quickly. As she entered the elevator, she couldn’t help but smile. 

Now it was a matter of how Carlene would deal with Penny. 

If Penny didn’t pose any competition with Carlene’s capabilities, she could be kicked out of Greenfield or shunned by the entire upper class. 

Then she wouldn’t need to worry about Ryan being seduced by her.
