He helped Holden sit on the sofa and got a nasty glare from him. 

“Don’t think I don’t know why you hooked up with Carlene in the first place. It was all because of your big bro, wasn’t it?” 

lan didn’t answer. Instead, he gently patted Holden’s back. 

“You feeling better now?” 

Holden took a deep breath. 

“If you really cared about me, you wouldn’t piss me off. Maja is a girl I handpicked. If you took the time to get to know her, you’d realize she’s worth loving.” 

Again, lan didn’t respond. He couldn’t care less how lovable Maja was. 

Once Holden had recovered, he pushed lan’s hand away. 

“Call Maja. If I catch wind of any more of your bullshit, I won’t hold back next time!” 

lan was cornered. If Holden had threatened him with something else, like the heir position of the Raymond family or CEO of the Raymond Group, he wouldn’t have given a damn.! 

But Holden had to go for the jugular and bring up his own health. 

Reluctantly, lan pulled out his phone, dialed a number he hadn’t contacted before. 

It was Maja’s personal number. 

Maja had already laid down in RosenGarden. She had been exhausted lately. With Leah’s issue just resolved, she could finally get 

some rest. 

When she heard the phone ringing, she furrowed her brows, assuming it was Carlene calling to stir up trouble again because she hadn’t found the cat. 

Without checking, Maja turned off her phone. 

After that, she covered herself with the blanket, finally resting. 

lan’s call was disconnected, and he could tell Holden’s expression had worsened. 

“Go kneel in front of Rosewood Manor!” 

His tone was ice–cold. lan rubbed his forehead, about to leave, when Maria said, “Mr. Raymond is still running a fever.” 

Maria disapproved of lan’s treatment of Maja, but he was sick tonight. 

Holden was taken aback and stood up, leaning on his cane. 

“If I hear about Carlene causing trouble again, I’ll ensure the Shepard family disappears from Greenfield. lan, you know what I’m capable of.” 

With that, he left leaning on his cane. 

lan hurried to accompany him but was met with a cold snort. 

“Take your medicines and get some rest if you’re not feeling well. The Raymond Group won’t collapse without you. If you really fall, some people would be thrilled.” 

They both knew who those “people” were. 

The butler was waiting by the door for Holden. 

lan didn’t leave with them.
