Her heart was racing, beating like a drum that kept getting faster. 

She felt like a fish about to drown. 

Kissing inside lan’s closet was nowhere near Maja’s daydreams. 

After a while, he let her go, just staring at her in silence. 

Maja shivered, feeling like every cell in her body was being invaded by his strong presence. 

He pulled her out of it. 

“Aren’t you hungry? Grab a bite,” 

Maja breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that if he kept it up, she might really end up tied to the bed. 

She hadn’t been with any other men, so she had no idea if all of them were as energetic as lan.

Sitting in front of the food cart, she was always worried about Carlene coming back. 

Just as she finished eating, there was a knock on the door. 

It was Jeff with a set of ladies‘ clothes, complete from underwear to overcoat. 

Maja took the bag, glanced at the contents, blushed immediately, and went straight to the bedroom to change into the new clothes. When she came out in her new outfit, her legs were shaking. 

“Mr. Raymond, I’m dressed.” 

lan looked at her, aware that he had been roughing her up these past few days. 

“Rest up when you get back.” 

Maja understood what he meant by “rest“, but before she could say anything, her phone rang. It was Nathan. 

She immediately answered, “Nathan.” 

“Penny, Felix has given me the money. The medical expenses are just a small amount. I’m only hurt skin deep.” 

Maja instinctively moved away, ignoring lan. 

She never thought lan would get angry over Nathan. 

“The doctor said you may have a concussion, have you been checked?” 

“They checked it. I’m fine.” 

“That’s good.” 

She gave a genuine smile, oblivious to the increasingly cold aura behind her. 

She couldn’t talk about the money in front of lan, so she asked Nathan a few questions about his condition before hanging up. 

But every question seemed to lower the temperature in the room. 

Turning around, she felt frozen by the icy atmosphere. 

lan watched her, and gave a light laugh, his slender fingers hooked her collar, and gently pulled it open. 

The collar of the dress was high, but not hot, and made of silk. It looked charming on her, hiding the marks on her neck. It was obviously carefully chosen by Jeff. 

With lan’s touch, the hidden marks under her collar were exposed, spreading downwards. 

“Going home like this, wouldn’t your husband be angry?” 

lan, with his refreshing face, was making such a move now. 

Maja felt uncomfortable as if he was toying with her. 

She was confused. Didn’t Ian have a cleanliness obsession? Didn’t he like Carlene? 

Why could he be doing these things to her, was it because all men were like this? 

“Mr. Raymond, I’m leaving.” 

She lodged the subject. 

lan suddenly became annoyed. He had never considered himself a man of strong desires, but now hearing her words, he wanted to drag her back to bed. Kissing her felt good, but what she said was hard to accept. 

His gaze became deep and dark. 

Maja felt like she was being swallowed whole by his gaze. 

But she still gathered her courage to look at him, her face very calm. 

“Mr. Raymond, you said it yourself; we’re just playing an adult’s game.”
