Maja was eager to stand up, but he pushed her back down. 

Her fingertips brushed against his hair, which was still damp. He must have just gotten out of the shower without bothering to dry off. Maja had also just showered, but her hair was completely dried, hanging over her shoulders and revealing her face. 

She finally understood why lan Raymond had the property manager say those things. 

In lan’s eyes, Maja was a married woman. He believed she was with Nathan, so as far as he was concerned, Nathan was at home. 

He had lured her to the underground garage for a secret rendezvous, just like he said. 

It wasn’t very late, only nine o’clock, and a neighbor could show up at any moment. 

Maja felt uncomfortable and was about to say something when he firmly held the back of her head and kissed her passionately. 

She was gasping for air and struggling, when her phone rang. She wanted to answer it immediately. 

Unfortunately, it was Nathan calling at that moment. 

Nathan was acting under Judson’s instructions. Judson and Nathan shared the same concern. They were worried that the cufflinks incident had upset Ian. Knowing that Nathan and Maja had a good relationship, Judson had suggested that Nathan take Maja out for dinner to try to cheer her up. 

As lan’s designer, Maja would naturally put in some good words for him in front of lan. 

Maja was already nervous, and the ringing of her phone made her want to stop. 

But then his hand grabbed her phone and turned it off. 

The car was quiet again, filled with their heavy breathing. 

“Mr. Raymond, do you want to do it here for the third time?” she asked hesitantly, her voice trembling a bit. 

“What, afraid your husband will find out?” lan was still holding her waist, feeling her apprehension. 

His breath deepened, and he held her chin, chuckling, “Well, there’s nothing we can do about it now. You’ll just have to bear with it.” 

Maja was really scared, but what scared her more was the idea of lan tormenting her. 

She had been relieved that lan hadn’t asked her to come over that night, just as she was getting ready for bed after her shower. 

She hadn’t expected him to show up. 

He still smelled of shower gel. 

Seeing lan’s face up close was always breathtaking, especially now with a touch of red at the corner of his eyes, like a poisonous flower. 

If it were any other woman, they would be over the moon to have a man like lan show up in a thrilling place like an underground parking lot. 

But Maja was wondering if she could get out of this car tonight. 

Her hesitation and fear angered lan. 

By the time she came to her senses, a wave of discomfort made her bend slightly. 

lan’s hand gently stroked her back. 

“Relax.” 

Maja was too afraid of being discovered by others, so she buried her head in his neck. 

lan was controlling her waist, and when he looked up at her, he had a distinguished and restrained aura.
