But the pose was super awkward, causing her body to shake nonstop. 

After what felt like forever, the doorbell suddenly rang, signaling the arrival of their food delivery. 

lan noticed her body stiffen instantly, breaking into a cold sweat. It seemed she was nervous. 

His gaze darkened, and his movements became even more ruthless. 

“Didn’t your hubby go on a business trip? Scared of being caught?” 

Maja didn’t respond, merely pleading with him to hurry up. 

But she knew that once lan got started, there was no easy way to stop him. 

So, until she fell asleep, she kept thinking about how the takeout food must have gone cold. 

She woke up once, feeling feverish. But after taking some medicine, she and lan went at it for a few more hours, drenched in sweat. When she woke up, she felt surprisingly better. 

Now, it was eleven at night. She had only slept for an hour, while lan had kept her busy for more than four. 

If it weren’t for her constant complaints about her sore legs, he wouldn’t have let her off the hook.. 

She sighed, slowly standing up, feeling incredibly hungry. She needed to eat something before sleeping again. Walking into the living room, she found lan still there. 

After tucking her into bed, he didn’t lay down with her or leave. 

Maja guessed he didn’t lie down because he didn’t want to sleep in a bed someone else had been in. 

She brought a glass of water from the kitchen, noticing his shoes were new, as was his casual attire. Jeff must have visited. This was their fifth time together. 

When he first came back, she thought they were done for good. 

But who knew there would be five more times? 

Maybe it was loneliness, but despite counting the times they’d been together, every encounter brought her intense pleasure. 

Carol was right; Maja had neglected her own happiness. 

She poured a glass of water for lan, setting it next to him. 

He looked up at her. 

Maja was in her usual home clothes, her short hair not pulled back into a low ponytail but hanging loosely around her shoulders. 

lan felt an illusion that they were living a normal married life. 

But the reality was that this was her home with another man. 

He had merely schemed to get her husband away, then indulged in her charm. 

He was uncomfortable, refusing to lie on the bed out of fear of smelling another man’s scent. 

“Mr. Raymond, aren’t you leaving yet?” 

“Do you want me to leave?” 

After asking this, lan suddenly felt wrong. This was like being a homewrecker. 

He was reluctant to leave after their clandestine affair. 

“When I leave, it is none of your business.” Suddenly, he felt very uneasy. 

Maja was speechless. After all, he was sitting on her couch, not the Raymond family’s. 

But considering he’d given her seven million, well, he was a satisfying bed partner. 

She took a deep breath, choosing not to argue. 

“Mr. Raymond, are you planning on pulling an all–nighter?” 

lan ignored her, focusing on his paperwork. 

“Or is it that you think it’s inappropriate for me to sleep in the bed you share with your husband?” 

Maja was stumped, falling into silence.
