lan seemed unaware of the storm his comment would cause, and he continued to look at Kurt. 

“So, if you’re not planning to throw her into the sea, can I take her with me?” 

Kurt felt as if he had just been slapped in the face, and none of his close friends dared to speak up for him. 

They were about the same age as lan, but they’d been schooled from an early age not to mess with this guy. 

In the past, the Raymond family heir was Eric Raymond. Eric was a mild–mannered guy, but lan was a whole different story. He was not the chatty type, nor would he tell them when he was pissed. Once he started swinging, begging for mercy was useless.

Maja found Kurt’s “joking” comment hilarious. She was surprised at how flexible he was, talking tough one minute and begging for mercy the next. 

Her gaze fell on Laura. The issue of her infringing on her artwork needed to be dealt with as soon as possible. 

Laura was startled by her gaze. She was both angry and flustered, but if Kurt was such a wuss, how could she, a little starlet, dare to talk back to lan? 

“Miss, you didn’t tell me the name of the brand earlier.

Maja smelled the wine and knew it was expensive. Those rich folks really drank upscale wine like it was water. 

The next second, lan took a glass of wine and splashed it on Maja’s neck without hesitation. 

The waiter was astonished, “Oh, sir.” 

“Get lost!” 

The waiter quickly bowed his head, pretended not to see what had happened, and left immediately. 

lan had had a few drinks tonight, but he wasn’t drunk. He looked at Maja with a heavy gaze. 

It was the second time in half an hour that Maja had been splashed. That time, it was lan who did it.
